10% of parents of 10th graders believe their kids are drinking alcohol - surveys of 10th graders themselves say 56% of them drink alcohol regularly.

and weed, less than 10% of the parents believe their kids smoke weed - surveys of 10th graders themselves say 28% of them smoke weed

silly parents - and many of these parents are baby boomers who should know better.

I think most parents would acknowledge that 50%+ of teenagers drink alcohol. They're just in denial about it being their kids. Kind of silly, IMO.

Probably 90% of those parents think their teen kids aren't getting fucked most days...

In high school I was allowed to have 2-3 beers a day anytime I wanted as long as I didn't drive anywhere. My parents saw no point in making me lie or sneak around doing what any teenage guy does anyway.

edit; with the exception of the last 2 beers. My father made it very clear those were always his.

same with all surveys about personal behaviour - why they all kind of suck.

That's why I force feed my kids alcohol in quantity, to teach them what it's really like to be drunk.

And I make them smoke a pack of cigarettes so they know what that's like too.

And to keep them away from anal sex, I... :winkwink:

Police all over my sons high school campus, plain clothed and in uniform. And STILL, DAILY , kids were getting busted for weed and drugs. We live in a kick ass part of Orange County, CA. by the beach. Money doesn't buy smarts ;)

how many kids go batshit schizo from weed, for how many is it a gateway to coke then crack then meth, how many just lay around stoned all day?

all drugs have their downsides. i have seen it all.
