Seems majority of the numbers are 112 for police. Leave it to America to have something completely different.

theres also a non emergency number but I have no idea what that is.

last i check england was in the EU and we use 999


its strange because these numbers were created when phones were like this:

and 999 is going to take the longest to dial. Not really helpful in an emergency.

If they are in the EU, why don't they use the Euro?

A quick check in Google will tell you that 112 works in any EU country :thumbsup

Brits all have 999 drilled into their minds, but when Poles etc come here they'd be more likely to go for 112
