seanchai 09-09-2011 10:03 PM

The word "slip" is a little mild in this instance, don't you think?

The word "vanish" says it better :disgust

astronaut x 09-09-2011 10:31 PM

seriously? you didn't see this coming?

I saw it a couple years ago when they started processing for x-girlfriend sites.
The top brass turned a blind eye when I mentioned a couple disturbing sites.

bean-aid 09-09-2011 10:49 PM

Maybe Paulk can chime in?

BIGTYMER 09-09-2011 10:52 PM

What? I don't see anything. I only see a forum with rips and filesharing links?

CCBill EU

I see a Brazzers is Not Mofo's answer!

sojproductions 09-10-2011 02:05 AM

I see paypal are still supporting that bullshit site as well, I make it a point to send paypal a reminder weekly that they support piracy. Fucking disappointed in CCBill, 8 year customer of CCBill's and this is how they help their customers fight piracy... by enabling it

TeenCat 09-10-2011 02:11 AM

CCBill EU is the designated E-ticket Supplier, Payment Processor, and Access Management Provider for Earnwell UK Limited, [www.filesonic.com].

Kolargol 09-10-2011 05:47 AM

No matter what explanation (if they show up in this thread at all) - it really hurts when they make money on stolen content.

TheSquealer 09-10-2011 06:01 AM

Read the TOS on almost any offer from www.markethealth.com

Notice the text on most sites?
http://www.breastactives.com/
"get your free 2 months supply"

Then open the the TOS for that same site....
"11. 14 Day Trial Terms (Billed by CCBill.com):
30 day supply of for $5.95(USD). If you feel is not for you, cancel within 14 days from today to avoid the purchase fee of $79.00(USD) and enrollment in the auto-shipment program which sends you a month supply every 30 days at the low price of $29.97(USD). To cancel anytime simply call 1-877-374-0182 (U.S.). Any charges will appear as CCBill.com *Buy Health on your credit card statement"

Where in the TOS does it mention "2 months free"

You think CCBill or Ron gives a shit about file sharing sites? You think they don't know exactly what they are doing?

Are you idiots that naive?

TheDA 09-10-2011 06:02 AM

I remember CCBill dropping processing for something dodgy before.

They appeared to drop them after it was brought to the board and RonC stepped in.

Can't find the thread now though.

Caligari 09-10-2011 06:07 AM

Another sign of the Pornopocalypse.

You'll know it arrives when you hear synthesized trumpets from the soundtrack of an 80's porn flick;)

play taps for ccbill.

Horny Joe 09-10-2011 06:38 AM

Parking here. I DO want to follow this thread.

Lace 09-10-2011 06:42 AM

Why am I not surprised.?

iamtam 09-10-2011 07:15 AM

i can't help but thinking that this sort of site would generate lots of chargebacks as well, which might tip the scrubbing overall making it harder for the rest of us to convert.

CCBill is processing for a BUNCH of these types of sites. You think pre-check cross sells were bad, look around and see how they are processing for all these sites. :thumbsup

Yeah, I started noticing this a while back and started looking around and was pretty stunned with what I was finding.

www.acai-burn.com
It's great that the models at the bottom, were able to use the product and see such radical results (lost over 60 pounds!)... then take took a bunch of "after" pics and were able to actually turn around and sell them on dreamstime.com and istockphoto.com. Good for them, they won twice! HAHA!

iamtam 09-10-2011 08:59 AM

this is starting to smell bad.

martinsc 09-10-2011 09:04 AM

astronaut x 09-10-2011 02:04 PM

Looks like it times to dump CCBill for good.

No more Pheonix Forum either. Consider that show history.

Actually I am surprised. Very surprised.

I always thought that CCBill was a class act.

And I'm still hoping that they step up and do the right thing.

Jeez, CCBill are the last people I would have expected to support file sharing sites :disgust

They may act on DMCAs but they have no 2257 documents for all the stolen content, who knows what's on that site... :2 cents:

corvette 09-10-2011 04:30 PM

sorry for the delay with this, things can be a little slower on the weekends

i just talked to ron about this, this site is now turned off, and Monday we are going to evaluate how to change our aup to reflect file sharing/storage sites that store this type of content.

Well I was just going to rip into you a bit over this but it's nice to see you guys came through. You've always been one of the most professional companies not only in this industry but in other industries (involving your sister companies) as well. Thanks for actually taking a stand and listening to your customers.

Pseudonymous 09-10-2011 04:50 PM

Wow, I know CCBill has been a very respectable company over the years, but im still quite surprised they came through and dropped FileSonic. This is great to hear!!

Don't be surprised. Like you just said, CCBill has been a very respectable company over the years.

And they still are :thumbsup

Yeah, they are respectable right after they get caught. Through the site review process and approving the file sharing sites for billing, they weren't overly respectable.

shade001 09-10-2011 05:49 PM

Amazing how fast the ass kissing started.

I guess the rogue sales manager or whatever excuse will do for the majority here.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck...

The final outcome trumps all other considerations.

Would you have preferred it if they took the Manwin approach?

I would prefer it if people in this industry would keep a proper perspective and stay grounded in reality.

Undoing something that should have never been done in the first place, simply because they were outed publicly does not equate to responsibility
