Think my car hasn't been washed since March.

I drive them,put gas in them and write checks for everything else.

If I ever find the need to trailer my cars to a show then I will go that route. Until,then...they go out twice a year for detailing and not anywhere close to that degree.

I'm guessing thousands of dollars...

probably $1,500 bucks at least. just a regular half ass detail runs about $300

Now that's OCD! What a great way to take an older car and make it new again, I'd love to know what that cost!

I can't remember where it was, but I read a thread on a guy that ended up doing 100 hours worth of detailing/correction work on a car with like 9 miles on it.

He literally went over the entire car with a paint-depth meter and leveled the whole cars paint out. It was unbelievable.

i just waxed my truck this weekend and cried.

i have my cars cleaned once a year, costs about $70 each. and when they are really dirty in between i spend 10 bucks at the automatic wash at the gas station.

this is all good but 10min on the road and its fucked again

I spent a good 8 hours of my wifes SUV back in June just to have it trashed by our dogs on a trip. Needless to say, I just washed it a few days ago and spent maybe an hour. :1orglaugh

So true. Even worse for me because my house is about 1 mile down a gravel road.

I like to keep the interiors clean but I've given up on the outside. Just wax them once or twice a year and take them to the car wash when they start to look really shitty.

i have detailed cars to this level before, i did so on my most recent vehicle. Car was brought back as a lease return. Looked like it had been washed with brillo for all of its life, yet had all factory service records so i figured hey why not. It took a total of 18 hours from start to finish and boy was it worth it. Detail city or auto topia is where its at!
