today i start my kickboxing classes

Finally i start my kickboxing classes today in a local kickboxing Training CENTER. My main focus will be Kickboxing and muay thai. Each class is 90 min but feels like an eternity when your training. Each session is about a thousand calorie burn, so hopefully in about 3 months il'l be in shape and kicking ass! Got realy tired after trainning i`m going to sleep now.
Cya:winkwink:

Who are you? And why should we care?

Nice!

I really should be starting some sort of class to get me in shape. I'm not overweight or anything, but sitting on my ass all day and not eating healthy isn't helping. I'm 30 now so should maybe think about doing something now rather than later...

I do that, when you start sparing, don't ever drop your hands. I did it once and I got my nose shattered dirty with a front heel kick. I dont drop my hands anymore though.

Make sure you buy your own equipment, most people have terrible hygiene. Staph and MRSA is a very prominent thing at any combat gym, but more so with the grappling type.

Buy some anti-bacterial soap and make sure to shower after every class. I also suggest investing in some proper work out clothes, enough so you can cycle through them and have a clean pair for each class.

Hand wraps are VERY important for any hand striking, so ask your instructor to show you how to properly wrap your hands.

You should start it too. There are 2 guys more older than you at the center. It is hard the first step:winkwink:

one of the biggest turnoffs here - you can get your nose broken or something else happen during practice. When you get it in a fight its one thing, but when you get that in a practice its like for nothing

Best of luck with the training
