And only a $196 ticket, money talks.
|
i paid $800 for police impound in canada once, though its probably nothing to them if you have lambo money. there are signs on the outskirts of toronto, nearby london that says if you do 100mph+ they will take your car

10k to someone who owns a lambo is chump change...ya it sucks but you gotta pay to play
|
yeah, then they issue a few tickets and give all the cars back.
|
asian kids with parents who dont give a fuck.
most of the kids didnt have full licenses. not one was over the age of 20 http://www.vancouversun.com/million+...015/story.html <-- has pictures of all the cars sucks that they didnt actually catch them on rader, they could have seized all the vehicles and sold them at auction |
wow some nice rides
|
when will the law get tough and start banning these guys from karaoke
|
The rich people have great hobbys . This is far better than watching televion .. even better than to read gfy forum threads.
|
this is alll horseshit !!!:disgust
"police didn't actually catch them in the act and acted only on witness accounts. They weren't caught on radar, video or seen by a police officer" according to the CNN article http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/09/02...ace/?hpt=hp_c2 |
Was caught going 149kph in a 80kph 69 over on a back road in my BMW, car and license taken for 7 days. had to pay $500 for the impound fee, and still fighting my ticket. been 2 months since i got it. and have a court date in November. So not sure what the fine will be but we will see.

Biggest fine to date was only $800 so it was like a smack on the wrist. One of my tickets was dropped from "exceeding 100mph" to speeding 85 in a 75 zone outside of Phoenix, Arizona, and the fine reduced to $150. |
First speeding ticked at 16 was for 45 in a 25. When the Judge asked why I was doing 45 in a 25 at 230am on main street, I replied I was getting it out of first gear. I was driving a Chevy Malibu Super Sport with a 396. The fine was $10.
I did some street drags when I was young, we never got caught, but we were smart enough to do them where no one would notice and changed the location all the time. |
They all had "N" licenses. I thought that called for automatic suspension? $200 is nothing.

On a closer look at the article, i recognized a few of those plates. And it's not like there are a ton of matte black cars around town.
Since they aren't minors, why are their names being kept out of the papers? A little public humiliation might help the situation. This was at fucking 3:30pm rush hour. What kind of disregard for the human lives around them do these people have? |
Kind of bullshit how they "caught" them.

Apparently Canadians aren't like Americans that videotape anything and everything with their phone. |
Thats some cars there.
|
Almost all of those are leased vehicles...
|
These guys probably don't give a fuck, and they don't even speak English. I am from Vancouver, and the kids of the rich chinese parents don't give a shit if the cops take their cars, they will go buy a new one next day.

I believe the penalty in the US, or FL at least, is if you are doing double the speed limit they can impound your car and give you a night in jail. Soo 70mph in a 35, 130 in a 65, etc., don't ask how I know :(
