Opinion for a new computer

I am in need of a new computer and with summer over I need to work more on my projects. I am not interested in a Mac at the moment...

My computer guy at my job gave me 2 recommendations...a dell super computer and an HP all in one computer.

Studio XPS 9100 Desktop

HP TouchSmart 610 Quad Series

Not a big fan of the all-in-ones. If the monitor fucks up you're sending in the whole PC in. Also HP said this week they are geting out of the PC business. I'd spring the extra $30 for the HD6670 video card on the Dell.

I just bought a 13? Macbook Air yesterday after having used various Lenovo Thinkpads for the past 7 years. So far, so good.

He just said he's not interested in a Mac. I have come to the conclusion that Mac fans lack reading comprehension skills.

I need a work station to get work done, fooling around with my wifes laptop now and it feels like I would get nothing done.

Both allow you to use programs in "XP" mode if you have one that's not compatible with Windows 7. You'll have to download the "xp mode" program from the microsoft website but it's free. It can't be used on the regular HOME version of windows 7.

here's the differences between Professional and Ultimate

In central germany I would buy one from medion. Medion sells them on ebay.

Don't get an all in one... you really limit yourself for future upgrades and if one thing goes wrong it is all wrong.

You are an idiot.

The dell would work well for you and you can rely on their support.

Which part of "I am not interested in a Mac at the moment" was too hard for you to understand?

Buy a used i7 980x processor from ebay for like 600-700 bucks and build your system around that.
