FYI... take this as you wish..

we had a scam tested on us yesterday... and I won't name names... but they basically contacted our accounting department.. with:

please stop payment on these check numbers... and listed a list of checks... then gave a real name of a head contact at the company... and wanted the check re-issued to that name and sent to a NY city address... scary thing is.. they had the actual check numbers.. and password to access the account.. and a head guys name...

anyway... they had already gotten in and edited the info on that account... since they had the user/pass...

lucky for us we were able to catch it... via the correspondence... and contact the "company"..

all is fixed now.. and we have a agreement to have a personal phone call from them to change anything on their account..


anyway.. may be a good idea to check your own accounts to see if any info has been changed...

I have someone from newyork that looks alittle shady to me and started pushing yesterday and wanted to see if we could confirm some of the info and see if its the same peeps.
