iframe tag - Love it or hate it?

Anyone using the iframe tag? What do you guys think of this tag in general and what % of people would be able to make use out of it on their browsers?

I think there are some really cool effects (check out PixelMinx's site!) that can be done with iframe and I've been looking in to using it more .. but I know netscape doesnt like it at all ..

Only IE browsers can process these and only later versions as well. On the up side, most [over 80% correct me if I'm wrong] users are on MS IE, so you should be able to get massive coverage.

Unfortunately, its not supported by SOME email sites. biggest example is Yahoo.

you can do some interesting movie galleries with Iframes

Netscapre 4.x - Not supported
Netscape 6.x - I am not sure if it is supported
Netscape 7.0 - Iframes are supported

At what version did IE start allowing for the iframe tag?

notjoe,
thanks for the info.. would you also know about if iframes are supported by the aol browser or by macs?

(I know macs are screwy with frames at times)...

Further evidence that just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD.
