"We Hope Apple Wins the Patent Wars"
Those brilliant Apple dickheads just got a new patent victory. And you know what? Good for them! Good for you too, Android users included. I hope they win all of their wars, because that would be good for all of us.
.... Google, Samsung, or HTC, just said "oh fuck this, let's all do the same" and came up with devices that are mostly copies of what Apple put out in their first iPhone. Sure, they added some stuff of their own and sure, Apple's user interface has some aspects that are not original. But mostly the iPhone's competitors are clones that show no imagination, no better ways to do things. http://gizmodo.com/5833924/we-hope-a...urce=pulsenews |
"The judge thinks that Samsung has violated the method for swiping through a photo gallery."
I don't have an Iphone or a Galaxy, but really, on a touch screen phone, how many real options are there for browsing a photo gallery other than sliding your finger across the screen ?? |

are this guys comments true?
how could lawyers not bring this up in trial? Dear Jesus Diaz. Maybe you should do some research before you type out complete FUD. Swipe to unlock prior art, look up the Neonode N1m, it did swipe to unlock in 2005. iPad design? Compaq TC1x00, 2005 // Kinght Ridder tablet, 1994!! iPhone design? LG Prada. iPhone name? Cisco. Icons in a grid? Please... since the dawn of the GUI. iOS5 Notifications? Taken from Android. Accelerometer? iPaq Rubber band photo gallery? Compiz was released at the beginning of 2006, so almost two years before. -You name an Apple "invention", and I'll debunk it. Good day, sir. |
:thefinger Fuck Apple :thefinger
|
I invented inventing. everyone owes me.
|
I think you guys just got trolled.
That's exactly the kind of post I made to get my tech site off the ground, the posts went viral and the Apple fanboys or Apple haters would just explode with hatred and plaster my stories all over their preferred social networking platforms. Don't be so easily led. You're a tool to increase pageviews and revenue. |
Apple is going to war with samsung because samsung is making a better product. Ive had two iphones and my next phone will be a samsung.

I still think Android feels clunky and laggy. Probably has a lot to do with the GUI not being hardware accelerated. And the Samsung phones all feel like light cheap plastic toys. The only thing I'll give them credit on is the screen. Beautiful beautiful screens. |

Just Google the Compaq product. Looks nothing like the iPad. It has a keyboard for Christs sake. And the Night Ridder tablet was a product that didn't even exist. The version in the video is not even functional or real. You can't even call it vaporware because there was never even a promise that it would exist. The iPhone was ready right around the time the LG Prada was. There is no way it influenced the design of the iPhone. Ya Cisco had the name iPhone. But it was only logical. Apple had the whole iLine by then. iMac, iPod and a couple of other products with the iName The rest aren't even worth addressing |
this is complete Apple FanBoy lunacy.
Swiping to go through pictures has been around for YEARS on touch screen cameras, tablet pcs, touchscreen all-in-one pcs and touch screen phones such as the palm. Gimme a fucking break. Just because apple was the first to be "innovative" and invent a super cool way to do it the same way other companies have done it for years doesn't make the competition copy-cats. The only thing apple did was make it "smoother" on a hand sized device and that's only because of the processing power available in a small product at it's release time. |

Are you telling me that all of the manufacturers of all of those devices above were too stupid to patent the gestures/methods themselves? :1orglaugh:1orglaugh |

Speaking for myself anyways. An iPhone 4 user. So according to this Android users are country bumpkin high school drop out introverts who haven't experienced any culture and have bad credit. No wonder they find us obnoxious. |
Yea, Apple never borrows features or look or anything. That's why they come out with features that almost exactly mimic what popular apps do.
The top comment on that article is golden. |
The time of Apple over.

Apple users are more females, more extravert, spending money, high maintenance, texting while driving, see yoghurt as a 'snack' and like broadway musicals. Sounds like a description of a flaming fag if you ask me :1orglaugh |
