I felt it here in Mass as well, two short ones close together. My monitor was shaking slightly and I was thinking WTF is that an earthquake..

I guess I'm not crazy..I was just looking on http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/ to see if anything was listed.

I thought I was dizzy, honestly I was sitting here with headphones on and felt woozy for a moment... then I saw the cord of my shades moving and watched for a thread to appear and by god, here it is. I live near Syracuse, NY.

if i wasn't still i wouldn't have noticed it.. pretty much a non issue i just think its neat we all noticed it.

There was a quake in colorado this morning or recently too, saw it on the news earlier. What up tectonics?

I felt it here as well at like 1:55pm ... I thought it was one of those big trucks that shake the house every now and then ... I am concerned about all my Boehm porcelain ...

wow, I felt the ripple effects here in Hamilton, Ontario. The whole highrise shook. Was just on the local news.

Saying it was a 5.9 on the govt earthquake site..

They are saying it was 1km deep - Thats amazingly shallow and could mean damage in the local area...

I moved back to LA in March and feel let down I haven't had an earthquake yet, no riots, floods or fires either.

Quakes in the east are way more potentially damaging than in the west though. If a 5.9 hit san diego how far away might someone notice it? With this 5.9 in virgiania, people in detroit are feeling it. Lots of OLD nuke plants back east too.

Friends and colleagues of mine in New Market Canada felt it as well ...
Hopefully we do not feel any aftershocks ... Now all I need is for the East Coast to break away like a piece of crumbly birthday cake and fall into the Atlantic ...
