Florida's Concealed Weapon License is a FUCKING JOKE
 

Stupid old woman never shot a gun in her life gets this license. Instructer had to hold the gun with her while she demonstrated that she knew how to fire a weapon safely. What a fucking joke. Knowing that idiots like this may be sitting at the next table over from me at Olive Garden with a concealed weapon is really scary. I'm very pro gun but this is just fucking retarded. So bottom line is in Florida the only requirement for getting a concealed weapons license is to not be a felon. lol.

That what you get when you have the NRA contolling the GOP. The NRA is against ANY regulations. If they had their way even guy swho just got of prison for rape, murder or child molestion would be able to get a gun and no waiting period.

When I got a permit you had to pass a safe handling test, target test as well as taking the gun apart then reassembling it. Then again it wasn't in Florida.

You mean other than the requirement of taking the class? That's how it is in a lot of states. Some states make you qualify with a gun too and others make you qualify with each and every gun you wish to carry.

In most states, if you can legally buy a gun, you can qualify for a permit to carry it concealed.

Then there are states like AK, AZ, VT, and WY where no permit is required for concealed carry.

That is the minimum any state should require. But yeah NRA sees any control on guns as bad. One of the main reasons I refuse to join the NRA.

In California, it's a long process to get a carry permit and it varys from county to county, even which police department you go to. In Washington State, My daughter got a carry permit by walking in the poice station and filling out some paper work. Buying in gun in California, you either need to take a saftey class or have a dd214

It's not hard to get one here in LA, i've had mine for a while now.

Ive had mine now for a year had to take a class and show that I knew how to handle and fire my weapon before he would pass me!

Gun laws tend to penalize only those that obey the law. The rest buy guns, drugs, women, kids, anything you want on the streets anyway. They don't pay retail and get a new gun so what's the point?

I can go on the streets in Tampa and buy ANYTHING, ANYTIME. The NRA and gun stores really have nothing to do with crime. Close up gun stores and there are still more firearms than people in the US.

I actually love Olive Garden. Their entrees are so-so, but the salad and bread sticks make it so worth it.

I looked into the concealed weapon permit process in Florida a few weeks ago and was surprised how easy it is to get one.

I'm not a soup eater so I've never had theirs, but come to think of it, I do have friends that love it.

There has been a few little old ladys that have had the shit beat out of them and some have been killed in their own homes down here. At least having a gun evens the odds a little for them a little. Be nice if one of these little old ladys shot the fuck out of the next young punk that tried to rob them.
