PHP Developer Needs Inspiration

Hi all,

As a PHP developer I'm in need of some inspiration. I have many ideas for scripts to develop but they are all based on my own requirements and to be honest, I work best when following somebody else's. So maybe you can help me started.

If you would love to have a PHP script which does not exists or a script that already exists (open or closed source) but is just too expensive, too complex or missing some functionality, then mention such script here.

Cheers,

I'm currently paying a monthly fee(and I hate monthly fees!) for a script that does this:
I import a CSV-file containing product-name,description, price, image, url.
The script needs 2 HTML-templates to work, one for a "mainpage" and one for the search results.

If I have the script installed on domain.com and I surf to domain.com/green-farts
it will search and show the best matching products that match the query green-farts.

Also, if the referer-URL is a search-engine the script will take the keyword from the referer URL and show results based on that keyword.

Also, I can add subdomains for example pink.domain.com and have a CSV-file for only that subdomain.

Sounds like something you could do?

Yeah I think so. But do you need a generic solution or a script for your specific purposes only?

Anyway, send me an e-mail to [email protected] which includes

1) a url of an example site (if any)
2) example CSV file (not to big, but enough to test with)
3) the templates you have in mind

I think this can be implemented as having you upload (FTP) the CSV and the template files in a directory on your server after which the script takes care of the rest. I don't think there is any need for a database (right?) so the script will work directly on the CSV file.

If I can do this quickly then I will it for free? just special for you :D. But in a few weeks I'm out of a job so I'm looking for some projects which generate an income eventually.

Cheers,

No, sorry. But depending on financial support I would be happy to learn. ;)
