Interesting article, explains a couple things that I experienced with my sites lately.. which happened to be quality paysites.

I haven't had any of my personal sites slapped with Panda, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were using toolbar data to some degree. Just a heads up to everyone, though. One way to circumvent Panda if you want to experiment is with subdomains. Hubpages was able to do it.

We developed Toolbar extensions for our cam platform and our members love it. I would recommend this to other site/tube owners.

That suprises me. Interesting article.

It makes sense to use it as a feedback mechanism to tweak ranks of sites already ranked for a keyword or phrase. It doesn't make sense to use it for initial placement. Unlike anchor text you don't have the hint at relevant keywords or phrases. They would still have to primarily use other ranking factors for initial placement otherwise it would mean chaos and near random results as new sites or pages rank.
