No idea. I gave up on my yahoo email because of the amount of spam it seemed to suck in.

'97, so just younger than yours. I never use it anymore though. That was back when I was 14-15 and playing chess on there.

My 'sent' box has 38,000 outgoing in it. My personal Yahoo that is.

Oldest email I have saved in a folder is January 1st 1997 at 2:14 am but I don't remember having it before about 1998, weird

I think about thirteen or fourteen years ago. I used it for Ebay and a few other things, but usually used pop3. Now I use gmail, including my pop3 email.

I still have my Yahoo account, but it's all spam these days.

i have the first ever yahoo account ( no i am not kidding )

i used to do alot of yahoo chat back in the day and collected alot of unique names. I used to take the mods names when they got too cocky.

I had the old rocketmail.com and when it transformed ino / got bought by yahoo, in 97/98 I got myself a separate Yahoo address too. So some 13-14 years.
Not using it anymore though, too much spam and silly yahoo instant messenger shit with scammy indians and stuff.

I've probably had my Hotmail account close to 14 years ... I know it was the late 90's anyways. I never really used my Yahoo mail much but I've had my Yahoo account (and the email address that goes with it) since 1999, when they took over Geocities. I agree with the comments on spam, I barely used Yahoo mail at all but in with the couple of legit email messages there would be pages and pages of pure spam.

My hotmail still has 4 digit password because that was good enough in 96 pre-M$... :winkwink:

dunno , they locked it up years ago , along with dozens of other "originals". I will have to try out my list at an internet cafe or something..

i still use the first email address i ever had at yahoo i still use the same password and a new account you would not be able to use it i looked again and it looks like its over 13 years old Yahoo mail accounts were very popular when i got mine they've come a long way.since they started same way with my godaddy account they called me and talked to me awhile telling he hadn't worked on an account as old as mine

Just tried my account which somehow I remembered and it said it was reactivating it since I hadn't use it in forever. Part of the name was "98" so I would imagine 13 years ago now.

6 or 7 with Yahoo, i got a message saying I'm sending to many emails a day and shit.. Since i got that i switched to Gmail and hotmail cause they bitched at me.

2006 when a poker group I joined had a yahoo group...

hmm.. then again.. having a yahoo account automatically gives you mail... so perhaps pre-2000 if it was available back then.

I have/had a rocketmail account, which was bought by yahoo. I can still login to yahoo, but it won't let me use the email. Fuckers! :1orglaugh
