Just had a chance today to have my hands on it.... i didnt have an opportunity to play with iphone 4, but this samsung thing made me really wanna buy it...

Any users that have both who compared em?

Yes, I think the galaxy S2 is better, its just got everything you could possibly want.

The best thing about it is the speeds when browsing the net.

I personally think that the original Galaxy line is better than the iPhone 4. I would expect this one to be quite a bit better.

Right now, today, the Galaxy SII is THE best phone money can buy on the market.

I have the S2 for 2 month now and I am very happy with it. Once you have worked with that display you can not go back to the smaller iphone.

Best phone I have EVER had!

I switched from my iphone to the Galaxy S infsuse about a month ago and have to say there are pros and cons to each. The iphone was faster when browsing using wifi and the mail program that comes with the samsung isn't up to par but there are other to download I just haven't tried any others out.

The 4.5ish screen is way better, when I use my old iphone (now an itouch) it seems dinky

The Galaxy is a bit bigger right??

friend of mine has one and it is a great phone, better than iphone

I prefer HTC Sensation due to higher resolution of the display.

Samsung took way too long to update the OS for the original Galaxy phones. Now I'm a bit scared of them.

I can't wait til I can get it.. couple more months... I dream of this phone and loathe my current POS

I have the S2.. Had the iPhone.. Will never go back

They are still taking too long getting them out, but it's the various carriers who have stalled.

Thankfully we have XDA and CyanogenMOD.

The Cyanogen guy just got hired by Samsung too, to work in the Android development department.

I wouldn't worry about future Samsung purchases.

I have Galaxy S I and love it except when the email crashes once in a while but I am sure they corrected that. I'd say that vs Iphone for is a tie.

got the S2 for 2-3 months now - no complaints. evenh the fanboys get jealous

Just about any Android phone is good. Depends on what you want to do with it.

What is nice is getting Football on the phone and then using HDMI to put it on a big TV...

Mine died after 2 weeks, back to iphone 4 :(

The screen on the S2 is amazing. I would suggest rooting it with Odin 1.85 and replacing the stock ROM with lite'ning ROM, but that's just me...

sgs2 is the best phone i ever had
some say htc sensation is even better - but never tried one

So which mail client do you use on the samsung, the one that came with it isn't stable at all.

I have the original galaxy S and love it, so in a couple months I will probably get the S2

I like nexus s, but locally it is not popular at all

both me and the boyfriend have the galaxy s and both of us dislike it
his is barebones, no apps and it slows and stutters

mine's loaded and lately it won't recognize my finger so i have to keep pressing, it freezes and crashes

starting to have doubts about android a lot, maybe the Galaxy S II is better but if you want to be on the latest Android version you will have to wait a lot as Samsung Androids are skinned and they take forever to update them

I have the S2. I love it. vivid, fast, efficient.

Ive heard a lot of things bad from other people such as freezing and weird quirky shit happening. BUt they are mostly girls that have tons of apps too so.

The most mine has ever fucked up is when a person texts me in the top left it shows names. ONce in awhile, like every 1000 texts it will pop the wrong name. Like someone texts me and it says bob when it was really joe. The weird thing about that is. Its always racial. Like A black girl texted me but it popped another black girls name. Each time its like that.

That's why you root it and install a custom ROM :thumbsup

I have the S2 and I like it a lot, but it has its cons too.

The thing I hate the most is the lower wifi signal, for example : I sat with a friend of mine on the terrace of his house, he had quite good wifi signal with his HTS Desire S, I couldnt catch the signal at all.

Another thing is that a few games crashed on me, could be an error of the app thou, I have no idea what caused it.

It also tends to overheat at times, after a 15 or 20 minutes of heavy use, its hard to make a phone call as the thing is soo fucking hot it feels like your ear is gonna melt :)

And the damn battery - if you plan to use apps or surf a lot, there is no chance in hell it will last longer than 12 or so hours :) When using it lightly, it will take 1 and half day or maybe two days at best.

The phone is still very good I am satisfied with it, just wanted to point out the weaker parts :)

iPhone is for glamor pussies. Galaxy S II rocks. It's much faster, has no problems with Flash and has much better OS (you're not tied to some appstore or other shit).

i went from samsung galaxy S1 to S2, and it's the best phone - faster than Iphone, and better .. look at any review, just google it ;)

only bad thing about S2 compared to S1 is the default email app, damn i wish the s2 had a mark all as read button like the s1 email did.......

i shouldn't have to for one thing, also as i understand it it also rooting kills your warranty...

I agree you shouldn't, but it's not a perfect world...

You can restore your original ROM and reset the phone so they won't have a clue you did anything and your warranty is intact.

Stick with the iPhone 4
