Politics IS religion.

It's about what belief and idea you want to buy into. It's about what is going to make you feel better and give you the most comfort. A perfect combination of believing in your guy when he's good and blaming the evil guy when things don't go according to plan. The unending struggle between good and evil where one can always easily assign both credit and blame and simplify the complex world around them, distilling complex issues into a simple, black and white, us against them type formula with already prepared and standardized answers for easy recitation when necessary.

But at the end of the day, all these fairy tales have the same exact ending.
