Kimbo Slice won his pro boxing debut last night (VIDEO)

Against James Wade at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma. In typical Kimbo fashion he swung for the fences and landed a hell of a right uppercut to send his opponent crashing onto the bottom rope. Obviously he got into the game pretty late but his attitude definitely won me over, I hope he has a successful boxing career... :thumbsup

We need Butterbean vs Kimbo in a pro boxing match now. That would be a freakshow I would pay money for.

Just looked up his opponent. 39 year old guy making his first fight debut. Now he's 0-1. I guess they've got to feed him a few cans before putting him in with real competition.

I cant wait until Dirty Danza fights him

Ex-bouncer, ex-porn company employee, ex-MMA fighter, ex-film actor, X- MAN !!!! :-)
In all the ways not a guy to cross paths with - especially at night.

Adam_M 08-14-2011 03:24 PM

Kimbo is way better suited to boxing then he is to MMA

Never underestimate the power of a second chance. All of us, at some points in our lives, need it.

If his management team is smart they will protect him and feed him a steady diet of cans while he is learning. At his age he should probably be fighting at least once a month to build up his record but as far as his level of competition he should be brought along slowly. As far as Butterbean if they ever do want that fight I hope they wait a long while, as much of a novelty act as Butterbean is at this stage of Kimbo's career Bean would probably KO him pretty quickly...

I hope he can make some money. You would think someone like that would have a bad attitude, but he's one humble man and deserves to make some money

Hopefully the Shaw family is way more careful with his boxing career than they were with his MMA career in EliteXC. Kimbo has a lot of natural talent, but if they are putting him in main events after his first few boxing fights like they did his first few MMA fights they will be asking for trouble. Personally I would have loved to see Kimbo in pro wrestling, he would have been a natural and if he went over and wrestled in Japan he would have made some damn good money...

Yea he would be huge in japan :)

AnimeFevers 08-14-2011 07:35 PM

He won his first official fight in the UFC (not counting The Ultimate Fighter) against Houston Alexander, then was KO'd in his second fight against Matt Mitrione and was cut from the roster...

I am not a racist, but he may be one of the darkest people I have ever seen.

I am not sure what is going on with that mohawk haircut.

JamesGw 08-15-2011 07:14 AM

Kimbo is a bad dude. I don't care what anyone says.

Choopa Phil 08-15-2011 07:41 AM

he got knocked da fuck out! Kimbo Slice is one bad dude

adultchatpay 08-15-2011 10:34 AM

Damn, that James Wade is a class E fighter. That made Kimbo looking good and would put more money on his next fight. Too much hype again?

unkn0wn 08-15-2011 10:37 AM

Sucks that Kimbo wasted all that time trying to do MMA. He should have went to boxing. MMA guys knew he had no ground game so that was their strategy for every fight. Makes you wonder if Kimbo would have tried boxing instead would he be a contender by now?

I remember watching his second fight, he probably a lot better suited for boxing and not mixed martial arts.
