Is it possible to get an hyperlink from a poup to open in the page it just poped from?

That is a redirect if I understand you correctly.

The console starts off with CNN then redirects to GFY, If you click on any hyper links you stay in the console.

Reading your post again it sounds like you want to open a pop up from your main page then if anyone clicks on any links within that popup you want them to open back up in the main page.

You may be able to accomplish this by having your main page in a frame and targeting any links in your console back to the main frame :)
