TV Porn Doesn't Sell Like It Used To

Cable and satellite television companies have a pornography problem: Their customers aren't watching enough of it. Companies' revenue from highly profitable adult video-on-demand and pay-per-view services has been slipping, as the genre's consumers spend more time browsing porn on the Web.

The trend is prompting TV executives to pull back the curtain on how porn contributes to their businesses, a topic they have been loath to discuss publicly.

Really? is this still a shock to anyone? if so then you need to put a pencil in your ear and smash it hard with a frying pan.

there will always be people who want to own the DVD or buy porn when they go into hotel rooms, but for a majority of the public, they realized its free online and why pay.

the "old way" of porn is changing to PPV/VOD type content and cams.

I had a friend tell me last week that he used to spend almost $200/mo on subscriptions to sites but, this is the best part, he said "why should I pay to watch those videos in a members area when I can go on big porn tube and see the SAME ones for FREE?!?" :1orglaugh

Now he dipped into cams and told me that he spent over $100 a few weeks ago in one day

I think cams are definitely where it's trending. There'll always be a market for normal porn, but cams are what's up IMO, especially the free cam / tip model. You get people who will literally drop $500 in a day regularly. I saw one girl earn close to $2000 in an hour doing nothing but sitting there topless and talking to people.
