You'd be spewing wouldn't you, to watch your cherished F1 Super Car go up in smoke.

he went fine, tree and fire, good luck for him

He has smashed up a *lot* of VERY expensive cars over the years.

Karma is a Bitch!

He smashed it up in 1999 too.

He's fine, and no one else got hurt, I guess it's the only thing that matters :pimp
|
I guess all that driving he does in Mr. Bean is real. Why do they refer to him as "blackadder" star, that show ran for like 4 seasons and he has been doing Mr. Bean for 20 years.

slightly more than a prang. more like 'he makes a minced pie out of his car'

I've been working hard to some day find and photograph an F1, Pagani Zonda and Ferrari 250 GTO which would complete my photographic collection of dream cars :)

I have heard that the McLaren's like to catch on fire alot when they are involved in a wreck. They had one burn to the ground at the Plano High School a couple years ago, a kid got rear ended by another kid in the exit of the lot.

I frequent a few car forums and there are quite a few annual events in Europe that display on and off the track some amazing historical cars. It would be a dream come true for me to attend and photograph such events. So far its out of my reach. Here in the US I know of two maybe three McLaren F1s right here in Florida but have yet to find them out publicly. As far as I know there are only two Pagani Zondas currently in the US and they are here illegally ( imported as show cars and not street cars ). I just recently became interested in the Ferrari GTO as I'm learning about its rich history and it's new to my wish list. There will be an event in California this fall that will bring together at least 22 of the 36 250 GTOs that were built. That would be amazing to see. There is an Annual Ferrari event in West Palm Beach FL that's just a few hours from me and I'm sure to see a 250 GTO there. I do plan on going to Rennsport 4 this Oct at Laguna Seca Raceway in California. It is the worlds largest gathering of Porsches and will have many of the finest Porsches in existence. The event only happens every three years and so far it's only been held on the east coast. California is Porsche crazy so I'm sure they will be a huge turnout and I may even get to see a stray F1, Zonda or 250 GTO. |

I went to the Pagani factory a while ago, saw a C12 on the street (mister Pagani driving himself) and a few Zonda F's at the factory there. The Maranello area is THE best place for car lovers! Combine it with a trip to Monaco and you're guarenteed to see some supercars. 250GTO will be hard to see. I had the pleasure to see the Kroymans GTO about 6 years ago. It's been sold since Kroymans went bankrupt a few years ago :( Still glad I had the opportunity to check out the car in his private museum. Probably the last time I will ever see a 250GTO in real life... |
He was just on Top Gear and did fairly well, too. Great interview as the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

I still have faith I can see the three I mentioned within the US which will make it all that more special. Here's a link to the 250 GTO gathering in celebration of the car's 50th anniversary. You feel very lucky to have seen one. Just imagine walking into the track and seeing about 25 :winkwink: http://www.autoblog.com/2011/05/06/p...ri-250-gto-wi/ There is a youtube video somewhere of a guy driving up to I think Denver's Cars & Cafe in an original 250 GTO. I'm sure that blew some minds. I'm not worried about finding a 250 GTO because I think I'll stand a very good chance at the next Cavallino Classic in West Palm. The Collier Museum in Naples, FL has a McLaren F1 but it is not open to the public anymore. I actually did the construction on Miles Collier's beach house back in the 80's but I doubt that's enough to get me in :winkwink: There is also a guy in the Tampa area that has, had one. He has an RV company and he used to bring it to car shows but that was before my time and I haven't seen it the last few years I've been going. There was a white one in the West Palm area that showed up at a few shows but that was before my time as well. The Zonda will be the hardest by far to find. I heard a collector that has three warehouses full of cars with one being about an hour from me has a Zonda on order so maybe it will surface someday. Here's a video of the Cavillino Classic and check out the first car in the video :thumbsup |
He shouldn't have let Baldrick drive
|
He can drive that has been proven! He has the fastest lap on top gears star in a reasonably priced car which goes to show that even a good driver can come up short!
Drive safe GFY :thumbsup Edit: When i lived in the UK this crash was right outside my house in Great Dunmow the tree was much better off than the car.... very lucky guy Mr. Atkinson http://www.independent.co.uk/news/th...s-1082273.html |
I admire his passion for fast cars.
