Hey, Remember way back when Metallica was cool?

Haha... yeah... I don't remember that either.

Anyway my favorite Metallica song is that one that kinda starts off slow.. then rocks out.. then slows down again.. you know the one.

true rock gods

Phoenix 08-03-2011 11:19 AM

cant believe i havent seen this one posted yet

bronco67 08-03-2011 11:25 AM

I was looking at tickets for Metallica(playing with Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer).

I opted out when I found out it was Yankee fucking stadium. At my age, there's no way I can spend 7 hours with 57,000 crazy metalheads. Plus, their expensive as hell.

Phoenix 08-03-2011 11:27 AM

everyone in this thread is now rocking out to metallica..lol

i guess it was james birthday? hence the thread?

AnimeFevers 08-03-2011 11:42 AM

this was pretty good imo.

roganoli 08-03-2011 11:48 AM

My favorite Metallica song is "Tico Tico no Fubá" ... this song will be lauched in the next month!

NaughtyRob 08-03-2011 12:19 PM

No I just happened to be listening to my Metallica channel on Pandora so figured I'd ask.

Most of my favorites have already been posted - so here is something a little different...

Apocalyptica is a Finnish cello quartet, that has created some cool arrangements of Metallica songs:

On a classical note, Metallica did some incredible performances with the San Francisco Symphony:

And finally, a live mash-up of Enter Sandman and Run DMC's "Tricky", performed by Smash Up Derby at the recent YNOT Summit adult conference Opening Night party:

EDIT that, there is about 4 others in this thread I love just as much.

Dead 08-03-2011 05:59 PM

ADG, My son just turned me on to the Finnish a bit ago, love what they do!
I still play the old, 5.98 Garage days Anastesia pulling teeth, throw in an Am I Evil and I know King Diamond did his job well. Master had amazing movement, all the way to "And Justice" beyond that I lost interest and saw they were going in another direction....By the way, you all need to stop posting links to the music.......Lars will cause you to loose your internet connection!

sinclair 08-03-2011 06:39 PM

Anything that features an orchestra or Bob Rock completely fucking their entire legacy!

They haven't put out anything good since Cliff Burton died, and you gotta believe ole Cliffy wouldn't even drink with those fuckers if he were alive today.

Nice, haven't heard that one in awhile.

To be honest, I really don't care for anything from the black album on.

Some of my favs are Creeping Death, Battery, Master of puppets, Blackened and Harvester of Sorrow. :thumbsup

SykkBoy 08-04-2011 11:27 PM

One of the bands I was in, The Corpsephuckers, used to cover this song...
I also named my bass rig "Damage Inc" after the song
