One of the most disturbing movies I have watched in awhile. :disgust

It's about a cove in Japan, and the slaughtering of dolphins.

I hate dolphins. They are the know-it-alls of the sea animal world and they are always showing off. I hope the Nips eat them all.

oops...Thats not Japan, all they did was have a very TINY % of people that the general public in Japan don't agree with or even know about kill dolphins....

At least they made a movie about it, so you could eat more fucking pizza & beer while watching it.

Soo sad to see that happening. I saw a commercial for that documentary, but even that made me tear up and turn away. I probably couldn't sit through the whole thing.

That movie is pretty fucked up and depressing - just like pretty well every single reality-based, agenda-driven "documentery" ever made.

The part of the slaughtering that makes little sense to me is that dolphin meat is essentially inedible because of its high mercury content.

I watched the first half and saved the second half over 6 months ago but didn't dare to watch the rest yet. I'll be sure to avoid any form of dolphin shows (or swimming with dolphins in a closed area) for ever.

Dolphin meat is making me cry. I saw the movie last year and the last part was heartbreaking.

Yeah, then its discovered that they were cutting costs for the local town's schools by putting dolphin meat in the school lunches and passing it off as whale. If they don't care about poisoning their own children with toxic levels of mercury then they aren't going to care about dolphins.

Actually, I believe it was they were giving it to the school district for free for the kid's lunches, and as a side note were selling it in the super market claiming it was whale, but I do concede the true point. If they feed that shit to their own kids, they do not give a rat's ass about dolphins.

Yeah, you're right, its been a couple years since I've watched it. So if there is no use for the dolphins as a food source, (assuming their markets have pulled it off their shelves now that the public has been made aware) is there really enough other uses to justify slaughtering them?
