Don't delete. Replace them by small 10 secs clips with your URL at beginning and end....

Well, I emaild him last night. He got back to me today sort of apologetic, he told me he would take the forum down (must have been a young punk affraid of being sued).

To make a long story short, yestuday my server was spiking a little over 15mbps today im under 10mbps. Dude had some traffic!

I emailed the host XXXHOSTING4FREE.NET , from what i see in "who is" its owed by 88pergig.com. Still waiting on a reply.

As far as copyrights violations goes, if you have a case im sure you can nail them just like anyone else.

100 mbit server handles aproximately 600K uniques (1,000,000 hits) per day. Each gallery is about 5mb total. It stays pinned at 100 pretty much, but download speeds of 200k/second is the norm for broadband users. More than fast enough for free movie galleries.

As long as the host responds to complaints, you can't do anything to them.

Unless you are the RIAA, then you can just have congress write a new law whenever you don't agree with the existing ones.

So who can protect movie files without using the cookies?

I built my first gallery with the .htaccess "cookie" today. Not one TGP script refused it. I thought it would get bounced big time. I dont see any problems using it, so far.

Antone have any bad experience with it?

I LOVE hot linkers from phatforums they send me lots of traffic. If your not retarded you can protect any movie format the same way you protect a JPG/GIF just make shure you set it up to block any combination of capital and lowercase letters. I cant belive you people are still making this a issue. Im very new at adult webastering but I've had no hotlinking problems yet with just a basic quality .htaccess setup.
