I have seen this before and do know there are many problems as well brought on by any addiction however, in this case, you can't blame gaming anymore than you could blame T.V.

An old college roommate of mine spent every waking hour that he wasn't at work or school on the couch watching TV. He was so lazy I used to say if he got any more lethargic, he'd slip into a coma. Then one day he did. From a blood clot.

He's ok today but still lazy as shit. He's just on blood thinners and tons 'o weed. Now he says he's not lazy, just stoned.:winkwink:
