Things to do in Toronto?
Im going to spend 3 days in Toronto with my girlfriend. Can anyone recommend some things to do while Im there?
I allready got tickets to a second city show and cn tower. Casa Loma, worth it or tourist trap? What else is there to do? |
I think that's about it. JK
When you touch down, grab a pamplet about Toronto. From there you can get a few ideas, then use the internet to make those ideas come together. 241 Queen Street West, Toronto - (416) 591-1570 |
remmingtons is the best place
|
So far, Toronto seems pretty boring and ordinary. Maybe I'm wrong. Certainly not having much luck finding a worthy goodwill ambassador here on gfy.
remmingtons eh? so what your saying is toronto is filled with a bunch of dicks? |

Marche is a neat little restaurant. Not bad for lunch anyway.
http://www.toronto.com/listing/655865 lots of stuff in here if you haven't already checked www.toronto.com/ |
For a nightlife experience you will relish for years to come ...
http://www.bovinesexclub.com/website/home.php A chair-rail of empty Jagermiester bottles that extends all the way around the bar, pink flamingo lawn ornaments hanging from nooses, and a satan-possessed doll that dances in a crate on top of the bar ... A great Live Bands venue - and its Halloween 365 days a year at the BSC! :D |
Never been in Toronto :pimp

bovine sex club is such a dive.

Casa Loma is kind of a tourist trap. I love walking along Queen West, anywhere from John to Gladstone, which is a long walk, but full of great shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. In terms of bars, I love the Drake and the Gladstone. There are some great spots along Ossington too, between Queen and College, and I particularly love Pizzeria Libretto, which has a great atmosphere and a great blend of Ontario and Italian ingredients. There are lots of cheap little spots around Kensington Market, which is really fun to walk around... It can be a great city, you just need to know where to look.

Check out the distillery district. King west has some pretty cool lounges. Go to the thompson hotel as well. Very cool rooftop bar.

If you want good Thai food check out Salad King on Yong Street, just after Dundas heading away from the water. It's a nice lunch place. Toronto comes alive on weekends, I lived there for 6 months. Week days I worked and chilled in my apartment, weekends there is tons to do. Some really great night clubs. Courthouse on Adelaide is great. Lot 332 on Richmond is good too.
I'm driving up to Toronto tonight - although it's to stay at an airport hotel then fly to Europe tomorrow! Wish I was hitting downtown. |
Check out yorkville up at yonge and bloor!
Also check out queen street as it's pretty fun to people watch. |
There is also Queens Quay, Harbourfront and the Ontario Place entertainment venue:thumbsup

It's Canada. What did you expect?

Take a taxi or streetcar along Queen Street to the beaches. A fun area to visit for the day.

Blow a lot of money, god everything is ridiculously expensive in Canada. Sales tax, gas, cost of booze, cigarettes, food, etc, etc.
ha ha, seriously, booze and Tim Horton's. The last time I went up there was for a wedding so I didn't explore the bar or club scene. |
Check out the Toronto Zoo, its the second largest zoo in north america. However you would have to dedicate 5-7 hour to see the full thing.
Other then that, smoke some of torontos finest. |
