Where are the Fedor fans now?
3 in a row. Retirment time.

God will tell him, close finish to a great fight

It breaks my heart to see somebody that good competing well passed his prime. I think in Fedor's case it really does him even more harm repuation wise than others because there will always be people that say since he didn't fight in the UFC, he never fought the toughest competitors. Considering how Pride fighters have done overallin the UFC, there might be something to that statement.

He was the man for a very long time. But nothing is forever. With that, ends the reign of the one man from Russia, over the HW division. Go with God, The Last Emperor.

Definitely out, and woken up by the following punches to the back of the head. |

Agreed. Fedor was the greatest but every loss tarnishes his legacy. He needs to accept that everyone has their time and his has passed. |
I'm still a Fedor fan. The man had a Hell of a run for fighting his entire career above his natural weight class and never training with an elite camp. Watching him in there against Hendo last night it was amazing how there really wasn't any discernible size difference. I still wonder if he wouldn't have another run in him if he dropped down to 205 and came over to the US and trained with an ATT or Greg Jackson. Sparring his brother in his backyard isn't elite training. If not I wouldn't mind seeing him finish his career in Japan making money fighting cans, he at least deserves that...

Better clip here. he was definitely out. Although I kinda wish Herb Dean would have waited another 2 seconds to see if he could recover.
|
first time I've noticed a wicked uppercut from behind like that in a fight, he got all his upper body into the momentum too, looked like a pure fighter instinct to throw that shot at that point
Fedor has nothing to be ashamed of in that fight, it could have gone either way, one hard shot that gets through |
Is this a thread about the hat that Freddy Kruger wore, in the original Nightmare on Elm Street?
|
i dont watch that shit, only champion (fighters, boxers etc) for me was Mike fucking Tyson !!!

that makes zero sense because not only did all those fighters start out in pride before UFC a lot of the guys who started out in UFC fought in pride afterwards as well. and if im not mistaken there are more than a few UFC champs in that list of names i posted. fedor is a champ and well deserved hes just old now. just like liddell hes a hell of a striker but when they get old they lose that little bit of quickness that ends up leaving them on the mat unconscious. |

Fedor is one huge knockout to being back on top. |

but i don't think werdum was a fluke hes a world champion in jiu jitsu multiple times over. bigfoot is just a monster who is unbelievably skilled and nimble for his size. i agree fedor was just outmatched do to weight in that bout. |

I've actually trained with Pezao, like I said, he's too big and way too skilled and Coach Benkei has had Fedor's game plan for some time. And Benkei is a HUGE fan of Fedor. Pezao should mop the floor with Cormier. What Fedor needs to do is join a real fucking mma camp. Sparring with his students and his brother Aleks isn't enough anymore. He needs to be pushed where he's not the only alpha male in the place. |
