Pretty bold pirating move. Should I report this guy?
 

A friend was looking for a used macbook for his wife. He was over at my place and asked if I knew anyone selling one. I suggested we try Craigslist. As we search I see several listings for a guy offering MS Office 2011 for Mac for $25. So out of curiosity I contact him. He ends up replying to me saying that he has Office, OS X and several other big pieced of software that he can install for $25 each. He tells me we would have to meet somewhere near where he lives and he would install them on my machine. When I reply and ask how he can do this so cheaply he tells me these are just burned copies and that he is "sharing" them with me.

Pretty bold. Should I report him and if so how would I go about doing that?

Not even worth the trouble. There are so many people on CL selling pirate software. Don't even think the police would bother.

no use in reporting him. when i was in college some idiot was making copies of M$ Office and trying to sell them for a few bucks and got busted by a professor. he got NOTHING besides a scare... makes you wonder

and as for illegal content on tubes... if the GFY community spent half as much time reporting illegal content as they do talking about irrelevant crap we'd all be makign more money...

and if programs would spend 1/1000th of the time that they are on here promoting their shit and instead file copyright infringement we might be able to get back to the "glory days"

Report him to Microsoft if he's pirating M$ stuff - those guys don't fuck around. Seriously.
