Foxnews - Obamas new fuel mileage standards will kill jobs
Yes. Seriously.
It was just on tv a moment ago. Not enough details about how it kills jobs, but it sure was the sound byte headline. They also seem to be saying that hybrid cars are a problem for some reason. They showed a clip of some guy saying "even though the government wants them to buy them, it doesnt mean they're going to". The messaging is clearly that the government is big and your enemy. No further details required. Just thought you should know that getting more mileage or driving a hybrid should make you feel like you're an enemy of the "real" America. Or something. Just as long as you dislike Obama, k thx. Thank you foxnews for being solid as a rock in crazytown. Now to finish my lunch and not drive anywhere, which I guess means I'm hurting america and killing someones job. Oops, sorry. |
Where do I download the decoder to unscramble what you just said?

The headline is all you need to know that there's a crazy fake "news" channel corrupting peoples minds and they stop at nothing to drive home the crazy.

I certainly don't support much of what Obama does but agree that Fox News is so slanted just right of 12clicks that its sometimes just comedy gold until you realize many people think its a legit news source...
If you want real un-biased news CNBC I think is best because they are focused on the real effects of things not a political agenda for the most part. Oh I forgot... ALERT ALERT ALERT! :1orglaugh |
so why are you watching fox news then?

When commercials are on other channels I sometimes flip to it because I want to see the crazy that the foxnews viewers are being fed. My feeling is that if you ignore the other side, you can't whine about it. You have to get to know them a little to understand what's being done over there. There's no common sense and utterly no shame about what they do. |
more cupholders. problem solved.

no reason to cry about fuel millage standards.. it IS achievable with and without hybrid systems.
Even a simple 4 cylinder 2 liter engine can produce those results and better with engineering and ingenuity. There are many technological advancements and discoveries lately that prove it. Higher rpm's with shorter strokes and higher compression ratios can produce a lot of HP with minimal fuel consumption already. They can expand on it and will have to. Period. Gone are the days of excuses and whatnot over fuel mileage. British engineering has proven it, Australian engineers have discovered ways to have moving heads to aid in compression and recovery of usable energy during combustion and diesel is a viable solution for American built passenger vehicles too.. Enough excuses already. |
