Brazil's Rising Star

https://youtube.com/watch?v=co1cwVXhHQc

By the way, since 2005, some very rich Brazilians bought big companies like Springs, BankBoston, Swift, Pilgrim's Pride, Budweiser, Sunoco Chemicals, Burger King, Fosfertil, Tamco and Keystone Foods.

I am Brazilian and I'm curious about what GFY members think about this scenario.

Note: I'm not a Brazilian lover. We have problems, and I don't have anything against any country in the world.

Brazil is definitely rising fast. Here in the Philippines, Brazilian products are taking over the gardening/hardware/cookware/etc space - Tramontina is a big Brazilian brand here. Good for Brazil, the world needs an alternative to China and India. Brazil has the ingredients to fully industrialize and become a First World Country.

If I am not mistaken, in stead of Europe and the US, the economy in Brazil is doing great for several years already and things still look great for the future...

I think investing in Brazil now would not be stupid... and the girls are beautiful too, some will fuck you for money which is awesome!

bronco67 07-26-2011 08:59 PM

Five years ago, someone told me to invest in Brazilian products/industries. I did not.

As i said in another thread, Brasil is flying high and it will continue for some considerable time. 2014 Football World Cup, 2016 Olympics, both of which will assist with the infrastructure which will in turn assist with tourism.
New Oil finds in various parts of Brasil is setting it up to become the 3 - 4th largest exporter of Oil in the World....

If you have spare money you should be investing now before it really starts to take hold.

Currency's pretty high atm. But with natural resources they're sitting on, there's money to be made.

TangibleAsset 07-27-2011 01:16 AM

I remember reading something about them having enough resources to run their entire country on biofuels, too.

Theres no doubt about it - Brazil is red hot. Sure but what brazilian companies (listed on US market) would you invest in?

I like VALE but what else looks good?

Thats a great point........ Brazil has superb natural resources aswell as a huge position in agricultural land and other assets.

US is wasting time in other places, it should invade BRAZIL.

I go down to Sao Paulo maybe 1 time a year for the last 12 years or so, it's amazing the changes that have taken place. It's booming there.

I knew even more how Brazil is doing well went I went to Disney world with the fam a cpl weeks ago and it was like half Brazilian tourists. They are doing well and spending a lot.

tranza 07-27-2011 11:07 AM

One thing I know.

At US$1,500 per square foot, the price of real state down here in São Paulo is getting ridiculous.
