i think ninja turtles did very well. :2 cents: what about avatar? if was suppose to be similar

ok i found the answer. it was sold multiple times the movie rights

After five years of negotiations, Kerner bought the rights in 2002 and was in development with Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies until Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation obtained the film rights in 2008. Filming began on March 26, 2010 in New York. After having the release date changed three times, it is currently scheduled to be released on July 29, 2011.

fuck you sony! fuck you!

true, but I dont think a lot of kids even know what the smurfs are, let along give a shit. IMO, I think this is going to fail and not live up to what they think it will do

right so you make it kind of like avatar. Smurfette would have big boobs and papa smurf would be like a old pervert :1orglaugh hiding watching her take showers. I would put chris farley in the role if he were alive :( so id put Cedric the Entertainer as pappa smurf and mike epps as jokey smurf. man id tear it up

I never understood the smurfs, not then, not now. And don't care.
