Players vote to OK deal to end NFL lockout

The NFL Players Association executive board and 32 team reps voted unanimously Monday to approve the terms of a deal with owners to the end the 4 1/2-month lockout.

"This is a long time coming, and football's back," NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said, "and that's the great news for everybody."

Forbes magazine recently released its list of the top 50 most valuable sports franchises in the world, and all 32 NFL teams made the cut. The Dallas Cowboys ranked second, valued at $1.81 billion. Manchester United was first, at $1.86 billion.

Consider for a moment: Jerry Jones bought the Cowboys in 1989 for $150 million. By 2001, Forbes estimated they were worth $743 million. Tack on a billion dollars over the last decade and here we are today. :2 cents:
