Anyone here a "conscious dreamer"?

Hey guys... I was wondering if anyone
"consciously dreams" here. That is: you "make a
wish" (like on your birthday), right before you go
to sleep and your wish comes true in your dreams
that night. :upsidedow

Any of you guys tried this? Results?

(This shit actually works - freakiest thing
you'll ever experience!)

You really back on this again?

bronco67 07-23-2011 10:03 AM

Occasionally, I lucid dream, but its not anything I can predict or control. If you want to have some really freaky, vivid dreams take a supplement called ZMA (Zinc Magnesium Asparate). It makes have you really deep sleep, and have weird, very real dreams. It's fun.

I find I have more vivid dreams if I smoke a lot of https://gfy.com/images/icons/stonedsmilie.gif - sometimes mild hallucinations in the middle of the night

Start taking melatonin or 5-htp before you go to bed. You'll have super hero lucid dreams every night:D

You know that's what is fun about this conscious
dreaming thing, by "making a wish" right before bed you subtly
control what you will dream, because that wish you just made
manifests in your dream :thumbsup

I've done various kinds of dream experiments. To the extent that periods of lucidity and flying are common enough.

It's just the dreaming mind tho. Interesting, but all simulation. It's interesting what it shows you about the brains ability to simulate scenes nearly indistinguishable from reality, but, the mind that organizes it all is still the sleeping dreaming brain.

If you are programming dream storys, well, thats cool.

i used to do series with such dreams few nights in a row one continues dream that i premeditated on before going to sleep, it was long time ago. it was fun sort of mind exercise.

used to be a time that continued almost a year with horror dreams almost every night, like HD quality bestseller movies of horror and myself in them. kind of fucked up because every night after a while it felt like going to work to face some fucked up realities, fucked up creatures, killers, wars, what have you.

i also had few higher state of consciousnesses dream like states of full awareness of being asleep and at the same controlling thought process like when you're awake, i could plan my schedule, think some work related stuff, life in general, anything.

nowadays i don't remember any dreams, got to sleep > blank out > wake up.

whats the point if "your wish comes true in your dreams"?

BittieBucks Eric 07-28-2011 05:32 AM

You can train yourself to have more lucid dreams.

Keeping a dream diary for example. Writing down your dreams as soon as you wake up, helps.

On top of that, envisioning your wanted dream and repeating it to yourself over and over just before you fall asleep helps.

There's also a neat trick you can teach yourself to recognize if you dream or not. For example, you can tell yourself(also in the diary) that if you see a moon or a particular object, you "wake up" in your dream.

TheDoc 07-28-2011 05:43 AM

I meditate and have waking dreams all the time. Sometimes my dreams are so real, I can't tell when I wake up if this is the dream or if I was in the dream.

The trick, is writing down your dream the second you wake up... that's when you have the best chance of remembering it all. After a few months (sometimes years) of doing this, you'll start to remember your dreams much more - as well, you'll start to realize how much each one is alike, some shapes, colors, etc that repeat over and over.

Now.. if you really want to trip yourself out, learn to pull yourself out of the dream but not wake up all the way, this way you're standing over yourself watching yourself sleep.

OBE's are not for everybody :P

Oh, and a lot of people who have their first (few) lucid dreams are usually so surprised they get too excited. This pulls them out of the dream and awakes them.

The trick is to stay calm and try spinning around(like you would as a little kid to dizzy yourself). This should focus you.
