LOS ANGELES?Traffic officer John K. Dancler, a 23-year veteran of the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, was fired Monday by the Civil Service Commission for his all-too-brief and unplanned appearance in an adult video that was being shot on a Los Angeles street in 2008. Dancler?s attorney, Bobby Samini, called Dangler a ?convenient scapegoat,? according to the Los Angeles Times, and filed an appeal with the Commission the same day his termination was announced.

I'm on the fence about this one. From the way the article reads, I assume he was in uniform and probably on duty. He shouldn't be engaging in stuff like this while he's either in uniform and/or on duty. If he got fired for doing something like that w/o his uniform, then I would be appalled. As it stands, I'm not.

So cops can beat suspects and taze them without any reprimand, but if they grab some girl's ass they get fired?..lol

to me it sounds like one of those things where there was no way for him to win. If he had given Kylee trouble for getting in the car the news would have jumped all over that story too. The real problem is these "investigation reports" by the news are just a bunch of people trying to ruin other peoples lives for their own personal gain and are far from real news stories.

You didn't read it very well.. It was not his car she got into. He was the 2nd cop that came along after That and he spanked her bare bottom and grabbed her bare breasts while in uniform. I think he got what he deserved cause if he was doing his job right he would've arrested her for indecent exposure rather than joining into a porn shoot while on duty..

I agree that nothing would have come of it had the "news" not made it an issue.

Perhaps he would have been suspended for a bit and sent to work the crappy beat, and that would be fitting. That was conduct unbecoming an officer, even a traffic officer.

The mayor of Washington can smoke crack with hookers on camera and he got hired (elected) for the job of mayor again, but this traffic cop plays along for a few seconds and he's canned.


It's hard to hold a beat cop to a far higher standard than we do our "leaders" who are supposed to be setting the example.

If he appears in the video ... how did they get 2257 docs on him? Every shoot I've been to has had docs for everybody in any frame, even if not nude.

Not even relevant. The mayor was not "on duty"; he was trying to fuck his ex-GF
who insisted he take one toke from the pipe or no sex. He said no about 10 fucking
times before he finally gave into her. She pressed him to do it for the setup because
the cops had her ass in a sling for another charge.

The cops and the GF are the ones that should be locked up for pushing and
twisting and insisting for someone to smoke crack.

I've seen the video. Seemed like the guy didn't know what he was getting himself into. He actively participated sure (I think at some point she even straddles him or someone else in the video)...but I doubt he thought the video would end up anywhere of interest - let alone costing the man his job.

I'm sure if you were a cop for that long you should know that if a girl walks up and exposes herself to you and asks you to spank her, grope her and other things and there is a camera around you should know not to do that and ask them not to record you.
