With all this heat lately I can't help noticing...
I can't help noticing that no one has been making new threads on how global warming is a myth, or the like.
I don't know whether to laugh or be worried about that, frankly. :D NOTE: This is not a statement or endorsement on the viability or legitimacy of the global warming agenda or theory or whatever you wish to call it. It is a statement, an observation if you will, regarding the lack of denials of global warming being posted, not just here but all over the web. I'm starting to maybe sort of lean towards kind of drawing the conclusion that when it's cooler weather or winter temps outside everyone has no problem posting scorn and ridicule about global warming and the so-called nuts that uphold it's theories. But when it's 110+ (F) for a month people seem far less inclined to debate whether it exists or not. Which strikes me as, well... a little funny. :D I've noticed lately on the weather channel that at times a good 90% of the US and parts of Canada were all 90F or above. 20-some people have died from the heat. Certain sections of roads and highways in the US are buckling from the heat (Sort of the anti-Canadian effect, as up here our roads buckle from the constant freezing and thawing over time). I've heard people say N America is turning into Africa it's so hot. Are there any global warming nay-sayers thinking about wandering over to the pro side of the debate? :D Or is this still just budness as usual for mother nature and father earth? |
So what are people arguing about here lately? I haven't been up to date. LOL

I saw a thread where Dyna Mo called Martin a homophobe, and Martin called Dyna a fag. That's one. :D |
Put it this way, we can't do anything about it anyway so fuck it.
Try and be green as possible to keep where we live healthier. But don't think it will stop global warming if it is happening. Also, now people are saying "fuck me record highs!" 2 years ago, there was record lows in eastern canada -35 or something without windchill? Wasn't there also record lows in Alberta this year? Plus record snow falls in winter this year where I am. April, May, June and most of July were all below the average temperatures this year aswell. Now it is above average. The weather changes! who cares? |
Is it hot out? I didn't notice. I turned the AC on for the first time this year yesterday, but I didn't think it was all that hot. For some reason my office, which sits above our second garage, gets unusually hot. Rest of the house was fine.
Has anyone noticed that it's not global warming, but rather that the weather is more intense? Summers are hotter, winters are colder and more brutal, we have flooding every summer, and hurricanes and tornadoes are knocking the shit out of us... We have become used to the weather the way it is, and the weather pattern is changing. We were talking a lot about global warming, but before then some of us remember in the 1980s we thought an ice age was coming... But it doesn't matter - this is perfectly natural. Through out time, the weather and the climate changes. |
Well it's fucking bollocks here. 14C and raining.

Saw on the news this morning that an ice floe a couple hundred thousand years old broke off today in the atlantic. Some "scientists" probably chipped it off with ice picks and shoved it out to sea with their foots. hehe
But actually yeah I did catch that this morning on the news, off north Canada I think, not sure though. Tried to google news it to paste, but I'm not hitting the right keywords. |
