Fake Apple products ... How about fake Apple stores!
Complete fake Apple stores selling fake Apple products.
"Anyone who's spent time shopping in China — or even Chinatown — has likely run into a vast spread of imitation Apple electronics, from almost-iPods to faux iPhones. But on a recent trip back to her home in China, one blogger discovered a much bolder — and much bigger — knockoff: an entire, painstakingly detailed fake Apple Store." http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/technolo...195925037.html . |
That is pretty crazy LOL
|
What balls, opening a chain of fake stores selling fake products;
"After discovering the first faux retailer, the blogger took a 10 minute cruise around the neighborhood only to find two more "Apple" stores, just like the first." . |
These companies that have everything made by their "Asian partners" should not be surprised when their "valued partners" (aka sweatshops) rip them off.

There are more than a few of these in China, I thought they were well known amongst those who travel to China regularly.
On a recent trip to Guangzhou I think I saw about eight of these in the electronics and cell phone areas. All were slick, had apple logos everywhere and much like this blogger said purported to be real Apple stores. Thing is the multicoloured iPhones and MacBooks running anything from Linux to Windows kind of gave the game away. |
The apple pie is a lie

We've had fake apple shit here for years. Even have mini iPhones. lol

The best part is the employees thought they were working for Apple.
But if you read the article, they say the stair case was built all half-assed and the paint was sloppy...lol. |

So which Apple - the real one or the fake one - has more twelve year old girls working for them?
|
I remember reading something about a shredder company too, getting a whole manufacturing facility stolen from them :)
The fake market is fucking huge. </understatement> |
While it isn't Apple stuff, a friend of mine who works for Intel had to go to the Phillipines for 6 weeks to install a network there. He said he could go to any market area and there were vendors selling all the new movies that were just out in theaters on DVD. He said most of them were DVD quality videos and not the shaky handheld camera version you would expect. But they operated openly and nobody said anything.

I bought an USB hub from China some time ago. On the picture it looked very "Apple", white and all.... Cost about $20 inkl. shipment. The funny thing was that when it arrived it even had an Apple logo on it.... Those Chinese! Of course, a couple of days later I read an article that Apple had managed to stop the selling of this product.
If only they could have skipped the logo.... the product it self works great! |

This is one of several levels (4 or 5) of Pantip Plaza in Bangkok, it's floor after floor of cheap chinese knockoffs and openly sold pirate software. There are also touts standing around corners trying to take you into back rooms so they can offer you porn which is illegal in Thailand. There are places in China several times this size. |
