Chris 07-19-2011 07:30 AM

seeandsee 07-19-2011 07:32 AM

nice list, should be few pages for adse about this

JamesGw 07-19-2011 07:58 AM

I really don't see how some of those keywords can have such a high CPC. I know it's top, but if the average was even 20% of that, it'd still be really high.

margarita 07-19-2011 08:10 AM

So if you have bad day and feel like you need to hurt somebody, search for that keywords and make some clicks :1orglaugh

Ramirez 07-19-2011 08:11 AM

great info, thanks!

Altwebdesign 07-19-2011 08:12 AM

thought web design might be up there

RyuLion 07-19-2011 08:12 AM

I could use more blood!
lol

JayDeeZee 07-19-2011 08:16 AM

"Donate" is an interesting one at #7

Grapesoda 07-19-2011 08:19 AM

who would have ever thought 'cord blood'?

96ukssob 07-19-2011 08:23 AM

i can guarantee this is not 100% accurate.

most of those high CPCs are what advertisers are willing to pay for a specific spot, not what the average CPC will be. so if you wanted to be #1 for insurance, then you would have to bid $.01 more than $54.91... assuming your quality score was equal to or great than the competition :winkwink:

Pipecrew 07-19-2011 08:25 AM

i just clicked insurance adwords like 5 times. Feels nice sticking it back to them for once.

:1orglaugh

I remember back in the day before Google hooked up click fraud prevention, shady software would click ads over and over again.

Sly 07-19-2011 09:11 AM

that's probably to do with stem cells, we considered it when we had our baby, the blood from the baby's imbilecal cord contains stem cells that they think in the future will be able to cure a huge amount of illness. you can pay companies to obtain and store it for you.

It's about finding a service that freezes your newborn's umbilical cord in case you may need the stem cells in the future.

I thought that was interesting too. Shows how much money charities waste.

Thank you and Roly for clearing that up for me. Now it makes sense:thumbsup

Barry-xlovecam 07-19-2011 01:03 PM

If 1 out of 7 buy that is expensive customer acquisition... (Maybe, depends on the profit margin). Google AdWords sure makes out ...

It's not advisable to search and click on other terms, as businesses will only pass on the costs to their customers (i.e. you).

InfoGuy 07-19-2011 06:19 PM

Here are the same keywords for Yahoo! and Bing.

Search on Yahoo!
[register .xxx domain names]
[.xxx domain names]
[register .xxx domain]

I wonder how many insurance companies just blew their yearly budget in one day as a result of this list coming out.

Competition = highest cpc earnings per click will allow.

Random clicks on these search terms will probably be more effective, as Google, Yahoo or Bing may not count clicks that form a pattern. Different IPs will also be better (home / work / mobile / library / WiFi at Starbucks, hotel, airport / friend's house / etc).

While this doesn't impact ICM Registry directly, it should force advertisers to drop or lower bids on non-performing keywords. If they're supporting/promoting ICM Registry / .XXX, fuck 'em.

Here are some other keywords.

Search on Google
[buy .xxx domain names] $16.09
[.xxx domain registration] $9.73
[buy .xxx domains] $8.89
[buy .xxx domain name] $7.84
[buy .xxx domain] $7.08
[buy .xxx] $3.61
[.xxx registration] $1.87

Search on Yahoo!
[buy .xxx domain names]
[.xxx domain registration]
[buy .xxx domains]
[buy .xxx domain name]
[buy .xxx domain]
[buy .xxx]
[.xxx registration]

Search on Bing
[buy .xxx domain names]
[.xxx domain registration]
[buy .xxx domains]
[buy .xxx domain name]
[buy .xxx domain]
[buy .xxx]
[.xxx registration]

Something to beware of..

All the clicks have something else in common: GFY.com as their reffering url !

To avoid that all the clicks are grouped together it would be best to search for the terms directly - instead of the lazy approach of just clicking the provided links :)
