I'm sure you all know Rebecca Black and her " Friday " song that was the most watched video on youtube this year and on pace to out do that Bieber kid's " Baby " video.

She has a new song and video out and while its still nothing special, the production is miles ahead of the one she first appeared in.

I don't care about the girl or her music. What interests me is how much production value changes a performer and their performance. How someone that is average at best can be made to appear much better. How the real talent in a performance is that of those that work behind the scenes to create it.

I'm also amazed at how the path to stardom has dramatically changed. One no longer has to go through a gauntlet of auditions, talent scouts and agencies. Posting a simple video on youtube can now gain you world wide fame.

In the end this girl may just have the last laugh on all those that left nasty, negative remarks.

Her video "Friday" was pure genius. This video is about as bland as they come. She's no Britney Spears or Spice Girl.

"Friday" wouldn't have been nearly as popular without the haters - the haters are the ones that made it viral. Jealousy gets you nowhere.

I had to listen to the song again and yeah she is just like "fuck you all HAHA I got a record deal and you all suck".

The only reason I saw this video is because they were profiling her on Entertainment Tonight and announcing the release of this song
which was supposed to be today I think.

She may do Ok with it on iTunes and she'll probably get to do something at the next MTV Awards show even
if its winning " The Most Watched Music Video on Youtube " award :)

With a solid agent and some really good PR people behind her she may find moderate success in the entertainment field.
At the very least she is living her dream.

I don't know what the deal is with her and Katy Perry but what she needs is to get a few established celebs to endorse her in a positive way and that will go a long way in gaining the public's acceptance. That's where some shrewd PR work comes in.
