I used to have one of these when I was a kid... a really simple idea for an electronic kit, but a really heavy idea for a toy. I loved it!!

That would be a cool collector item

I had this baby in the late 70's. They later came out with the one with the monitor and keyboard box.... cant remember the model number. I programmed a color version of asteroids in basic. What a fucking loser geek I was:1orglaugh

never saw it before, but when I was in High School, we were supposed to learn Computational Science with computers that used punched cards. Happily we never had to! :1orglaugh Now that I see your picture, it reminded me of that, we never used the computers because they didn't even work, but we start to study how to "read" those cards until our professor gave up

btw, I'm not sure if I remember correctly but there were different cards for different languages and we were going to use some Fortran cards (most people probably didn't even heard of Fortran and Assembler nowadays! :1orglaugh )

That was the TRS-80 Model 1 pictured, the TRS 80 Model III came as an all in one in the form factor of terminals of the time.

I'm not old enough to remember it, but here is one of my favourites, apparently Teenager's would use them to hack into ATMs

My first computer was a self-made ZX Spectrum 48k :pimp

I had a TI 99 4a. Used dec system 10 in school and a system 36 2 years later

My Sinclair lasted 4 years !!

That's it AK. I remember going into the mall radio shack and drooling over the Model III. If I remember correctly it was about $800, just a bit pricey for a 13 yo geek.

my first computer was an IBM thinkpad (year 1990 edition) just DOS operating system. I remember playing Wheel of Fortune on that thing all day

we had a Vic 20 and later a TRS80.

Those aren't really that old when you consider that computers date all the way back to the beginning of man when Adam traded his Wang for Eve's Apple.

I remember my first computer had an ATI Rage Pro and a Pentium II.

That sounds about right .... until Commodore 64 came around .....
