      you know, this kinda pisses me off, if they can finish up waaaaaaay ahead of schedule like this, then they KNEW they could. and if they knew they could, they should of elected to tear the entire bridge down as opposed to having to go through this shit all over again when they tear the other side down.

                  The contractors were going to get punished $10,000 for every 10 minutes they were over schedule. Considering they were about 18 hours under schedule, makes you wonder if they purposely over quoted. I would have.

                              that's per lane too, btw.

                              but still, they have planned this project out to the split second, they have spent years working on how this will flow, to have a ~26 hour cushion on such a massively orchestrated freeway shutdown is not good.
