Seems they never "get away" by going straight ahead on the merry go round. Ya got to get crazy and innovative and somehow ditch your car and/or yourself...
I once ditched a "procession" behind me in a high speed chase. True. Many years ago. :) Tore off at about 90-100 in a muscle car. Got a lead. Turned off the lights. I said get crazy. After about 3 miles came into a small town of 2000. Immediately went left and over one block and parked in the middle of the road wondering what to do. Me and my bud. Suddenly the procession goes barreling by a block over. None of them looked left. :) Was in clear view but one block over. :) Two days later Sheriff knocks on door. I had a very rare car. Looked up every car in the state. That was the short version. :) Many years ago. Sherrif says "why did you run, we just wanted you to park it and go inside" (we were circling a dancehall) 350LT1, Mickey Thompson N50s, full cam, edelbrock hi rise manifold, holley 850 double pumper, headers, cut outs on the exhaust and 454 gears in the ass end plus other goodies. :) Let's just say I had my reasons. Panic! :) Was extremely exciting tho. Never got anything out of it. Sheriff left and that was that. Never lost a race but ONCE - 440 dodge charger fully built with trip deuces just nipped me at the line. :) My last race. :) |

Sweetest sound ever was hearing those trip deuces open up and the sound of the 440 as he gained on me. 454 gears meant I always got the hole shot. 1970 Dodge Charger. Lot more weight but lot more horsepower. :) SsssoooouuUUUNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD of trip deuces opening up. (3 - 2 barrel carbs on a hirise through the hood) Horsepower. :) |
well im not braggin babe so dont put me down but ive got the fastest set of wheels in town Anyone ever have anything to race me with.
