:Oh crap :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

That's just wrong. They should have given it to her just for her heart. People would have cheered non-stop. That's bullshit.
|
She could try out next year as a pom-pom.
|
Well, I guess now she has no other choice but go into porn...
|
Fools. She could get some serious air with a basket toss.

How is she supposed to be a cheerleader?
|
So shes not only armless and legless but retarded as well? Seriously, why did she even bother?
|
Really?
At some point in time people with certain disabilities just cannot do certain things. If your confined to a wheel chair you just can't play fucking football. (They can basketball, however.) Sorry, in this case she can't do anything required of a cheerleader - she cannot do splits, jumps, or any group stunts. |
wonder if she will sue for discrimination ? jaja what a tard! never go full retard!

She, of all people, should realize that life isn't fair.

I remember a story about a guy with tourettes syndrome. It was the hardcore swearing type - not the squeak and squeal type...
Anyway, he applied for a job, and didn't get it because of the tourettes... So he sued and won a shit load of compensation... Thing is, if he had applied to be a postman, or a builders labourer, or something like that, I could understand and commiserate... BUT NO... Guess what job he applied for? Kindergarden teacher... Well, he didn't get it... What a fucking surprise - Guess that was the deliberate point though... Anyway, fair play - He is now loaded. Will never need to work again a day in his life.. So fair play ! :thumbsup |
Is her name Ilean?
(get it? I Lean? Yeah you see what I did there) |

Fact is they could have let her join, have her be a spirit girl next to the routine just cheering on and doing a spin now and again and the simple fact she's invovled would make the audience cheer more. It's not like she had to be center stage or have all the routines changed so he's 100% involved at all points. And who knows maybe the publicity would be more than worth it. But I guess it's better to keep her out cause most people don't want to watch something so pathetic :winkwink: |

HAHA I snarfed. |
NBA tryouts are unfair to normal people too

i've been passed by people with no legs before... very humbling. When I see something like that it's inspiring, like nothing should ever be slowing me down.

While I respect her hard work and courage, I think she being more than unreasonable.
What's next, blind people complaining because they didn't win the local clay pigeon shooting championship? |

While I feel for her... When did the competition part of tryouts get forgotten about? The whole idea of everyone makes the team takes away the competitive drive that people need to succeed. I mean why work hard and practice if I know I'll make the team and my lack of effort or ability will only go on to hurt the team and the members of the team that are serious.
I'm surprised we even keep score at sporting events anymore, I'd hate for the loosing team to feel bad because they just weren't good enough to win |

I guess it comes down to if any one made the team that had a lower score than her.. she has a case.. if not then she is just like everyone else that didn't make the squad. Isn't that what disabled people strive for? To be just like everyone else?
|
Miss Sullivan, who has no legs and arms that stop short of her elbows, has already overcome her disability to become a member of the school's marching band.
She hangs a cymbal from her wheelchair, which she operates with one arm and hits the cymbal with a stick attached to the other. She took dance lessons for ten years, sitting on the floor with shoes placed on her arms so that she could tap rhythms on the floor. |
leagally she has not a leg to stand on.
but at least she is harmless (armless). |
But she only wanted to be on top of the pyramid & fuck the football team!
|
That is real sad but at least she tried ...

I am sure that chair could really get in the way of things

She's just fucked her career prospects good and proper. Nobody is going to want to employ anybody so mutinous.

The true essence of sports at that level is character, not as much competition, and I am confident that by teaching that team to accommodate her, they would have instilled leaps and bounds of character in all of them. I am sure if any of you had a kid with a disability, you'd feel differently. I am fortunate enough to feel that way with or without said scenario. |

She's a joke because the whole idea that disabled people are 'the same' is a joke. So putting her in dance lessons "... for ten years, sitting on the floor with shoes placed on her arms so that she could tap rhythms on the floor." is a joke. Her parents would have done her a far greater service with ten years of useful tutoring. I don't see anyone laughing at Stephen Hawking. |
