Anyones boss treat them like this in adult?

I treated my employees well when I had them, random little bonuses, take them out for drinks/food, let them work short days... etc.

My girlfriend works for me but doesn't work for shit! I try to have her do something and then I catch her watching youtube like for 2 hours... so she used to be responsible for more interesting tasks but now all she does is sort through lists and do data entry... at least until she straightens the fuck up!

when i had employees back in the day, I treated them well. if they worked hard they had the freedom to do what they wanted. i learned this from a place I worked at years ago. as long as your numbers were up, you got to leave half day on friday so I was always busting my ass

ive worked for some pretty big pricks, one was pretty abusive to staff at times, it really sucks. i always try to be nice to the people i am in charge of. some bosses take the power and let it go to their heads and trip, making people do unnecessary stuff just because they can.

The real problem with this industry is many people are in a position to hire and fire but have no experience aside from being the owner's pal. One place I know of had a guy that was running the most menial staff suddenly running sales and marketing. His experience in this sector? None at all.

It makes it tough to respect a boss when you know he or she got there out of nepotism, not experience and skill set. And that happens a fuck of a lot in porn.

In a way that is part of the problem with this industry as a whole not just with those who hire and fire. You can get into this business with almost no money out of pocket. I started in back int he day with free hosting on Porncity and free content from a sponsor. People then make some money, work hard and quit their jobs to do this full time, but they have no experience on how to run a business or even how to behave professionally.

I remember many years ago a guy emailed me and asked if I could help him out with something. I showed him a few tricks and soon he was making a few bucks. He took the initiative and worked hard. I told him to relax and not spam the link sites and AVS's but he didn't listen, he just kept mass producing and using different emails and nicknames to spam submit. Within a few months he was making $3,000 per month. Turns out he was 19, and the most he had ever made before was around $600 per month so $3K seemed like a fortune. He immediately goes out and buys a nice car, moves into an expensive apartment and tells his friends and family to fuck off when they ask him for advice on how they might do what he is doing.

Of course 4 months later he gets found out is banned from all the major AVS programs and blacklisted from the link lists. Suddenly he had a lot of debt and was back to making nothing because he was so short sighted he wouldn't listen to anyone and had no idea how to properly expand and all his friends and family were pissed at him and not very willing to jump in and help him out.
