Important Notice: Scheduled Paxum Downtime For Major Upgrade - Thursday, July 14th 2011

On Thursday, July 14th 2011, Paxum online account login will be unavailable due to major upgrades to our system. We will be implementing Multiple Currency Accounts and our servers will be affected and unavailable on July 14th 2011 between 2am Eastern (GMT minus 5 hours) and 2pm Eastern (GMT minus 5 hours).

In preparation for this event there will also be 2-3 minor server downtimes on Wednesday, July 13th 2011, throughout the course of the day.

We strongly advise all clients to complete necessary transactions before the upgrade starts as your account login and transactions will be unavailable to you at that time.

All Paxum Mastercards will remain fully functional during the server downtime. Only the online service is affected. Thanks in advance for your patience.

And NOW for the details!!

Paxum is thrilled to announce the addition of
TWO new currencies to the Paxum ewallet!

Now you can use both EURO and CANADIAN DOLLAR currencies as well as the default USD when you send P2P payments and add/withdraw funds via Wire through your Paxum Account.

Important Notes About New Currency Accounts

- There are NO FEES or CHARGES to create additional currency accounts.

- There are NO EXTRA FEES to send P2P payments in EURO or CANADIAN Dollars. Regular P2P fees will be converted from USD to the applicable currency for easier account management.

- EURO and Canadian dollar currency accounts can be easily setup within your Paxum Account Control Panel.

- If you do not already have them set up, EURO and Canadian dollar accounts will be automatically created by the system should you receive a payment in EURO or Canadian dollar currencies to your Paxum account.

- EURO and Canadian dollar funds can be withdrawn by WIRE to a EURO or Canadian dollar bank account. Associated withdrawal fees will be converted from USD to the appropriate currency.

- You can instantly transfer funds between your EURO, Canadian and USD Paxum Checking accounts. The exchange rate will be displayed BEFORE you complete the transfer. We do NOT add anything to the exchange rate, nor do we charge any extra fees for this service.

We hope you enjoy this new addition to your Paxum Account!

We value and appreciate your business and as always we invite you to share your thoughts, questions and comments with us!

If only I had funds on my Paxum account ...

Very cool that Paxum goes out of its way to inform their customers of things like downtime before it happens and the great reason why it will be down. More reasons to be impressed by both Paxum and Ruth's professionalism

Nice to see new features etc. being added... The timing doesn't make sense to me though... Right before a pay period when ppl are trying to load up accounts to make payments etc. If something goes wrong with the maintenance, it could cause problems.. Would have made more sense to me to schedule it to some "neutral" time like the 20th for example.

Thanks Tempest. One benefit to having this implemented this week is that upcoming payments can be switched to Euro or Canadian dollars by our clients.

We are ready to upgrade, so we don't see any reason to make our customers wait. :)
