Paysite tip for the fuck of it...
I don't know who reads what boards so I figured I'd post this on a few. Enjoy and get rich.
Here's a simple little trick for y'all that will help jump your member retention: Put up a "coming soon" section and link it somewhere visible on the index page of the members area. In that section put some small to medium size thumbs of your best models coming up in the next update and maybe some text about a new feed you'll be doing etc... You accomplish two things: 1) Members who were on the fence about quitting might see something they are hot for and stay. 2) Members see that you are keeping the site fresh and they are getting their value for the membership fee. Until next tip... Marky out... |
Hmmmm... good tip.

Very good tip.
I don't run a paysite, but here is another suggestion for those of you that are starting... Automated daily updates. Have the site updated with new content every single day at the same time. Even if it is only 1 set, you will have people coming back to expect that and they will retain their membership longer. ZoiNk |
Indeed. There are some good programs to help do that automatically too. Conman is a good one off the top of my head.

A blog is short for web log. it's like an online diary.
|
I use blogger.com -- their free service is top-notch, you get everything you need to run a good weblog. They also have a pro package, but I'm not sure what's in it. It differes from Movable Type and Grey Matter in that the script that runs it is on their server, not yours -- which is handy for those like me who fuck up CGI scripts more often than not. :)
At the moment I'm setting it up so that my updates page is powered by blogger, along with a daily personal weblog to keep people coming back daily -- should work, since the pull of the site is that it's a personal amateur girl type of site. Thanks for the "Coming Soon" tip! I'm going to make use of that! :thumbsup |
yeah, a coming soon area is good... i use it too

Keep them comming Boss!

of course automation of menial tasks like updates and classifying your content are other great ways to maximize your time / money and conversions. Anyone who wants to see sample output of the ConMan scripts and in particular the automated coming soon feature give me a shout for a free live demo www.a-conman.com cheers- CH |
