Programs won't help you, with a good browser configuration you won't have any problems. Just don't visit unknown sites and install these addons for your browser:
- NoScript
- AdBlock

It won't help you that much, but at least it'll keep you safer in some way.

P.S. Don't store any passwords in your browser, and make sure that cookies and history are cleared when you close the browser.

It's also good to have a separate PC/Laptop especially for transactions, and the other on for general stuff like browsing and chatting.

Panda Cloud and Avast are both great and they're free too.

I use Avast... because it appears to use less resources and while scanning I can use my pc, with very little to no lag.

Then I use CCleaner to keep the trash out and Spybot S&D.. Both of which I keep turned off unless I turn them on. Mix in browser ad/flash/action blocks, in a decent browser, and your're set.

I was using Avast and got a Nasty virus.. Got one also with TrendMicro. Now Im using Security essentials from Micro shit and so far so good.

But with all of them eventually you will get something.

e-god 07-12-2011 06:06 AM

Microsoft Security Essentials, so far no problems

adultchatpay 07-12-2011 06:16 AM

ottopottomouse 07-12-2011 08:54 AM

Unplug from the internet and buy one of Paul Markham's magazines if you think your eyes can cope with the far superior porn you will encounter.

u-Bob 07-12-2011 08:56 AM

Chosen 07-12-2011 09:11 AM

did you purchase it or just use the free one?

InfoGuy 07-12-2011 03:49 PM

My personal choices in order of preference are ESET, Kaspersky and Avira.

Stay away from McAfee. They suck so bad that retailers are selling 3-user licenses at 85% off for $12. Another solid reason is they do business with ICM Registry / .XXX

DAMNMAN 07-12-2011 05:09 PM

Bitdefender...... Catches everything and doesn't kill my computer resources. I still turn off everything when editing.

19teenporn 07-12-2011 05:14 PM

Avast has worked wonders for me for several years...

Look Chang 07-13-2011 05:39 AM

Using Avast for many years without any problem :)

Gonzodave 07-13-2011 08:01 AM

Eset Nod32 - the best by far! Will never let you down, ever! :2 cents:
