Top 10 worst cars on the road

Cadillac Escalade

Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Dodge Nitro SLT

Chrysler Town & Country

Mercedes-Benz S550

Chevrolet Aveo

Chevrolet Colorado

Nissan Titan

Jeep Liberty

Smart FourTwo

Forbes analyzed data from six studies conducted by Consumer Reports, which detailed various aspects of performance, reliability and value. Despite Toyota's recall woes over the past year, it managed to pass scrutiny. In fact, the only Japanese vehicle to appear on the list is Nissan's mammoth Titan pickup truck.

Luxury cars, and particularly gas-guzzling trucks and SUVs, are at a natural disadvantage in these studies due to the high cost of ownership and less-than-admirable fuel economy. But these vehicles fared poorly in reliability, safety and value studies as well - to qualify for the list, a vehicle had to be among the worst in at least three of the six categories analyzed.

i don't see many s-class benz around because i am rather rural atm , but i do like the looks of escalades , but probably that is more of a engrained thing ( stars drive escalades ?)

just out of curiosity , have you ever driven one ? I have and i wasn't impressed to be honest, they do serve a purpose that many other cars do not , but not sure the cost justifies that purpose..

I don't get the Jeep Wrangler being on the list though, unless the reliability has really gone downhill in the last couple of years?

I had an escalade back in 99' and I liked it. It was the older style like below.

I never had any trouble with it and it drove well.

and a slanted one at that , guzzling trucks and SUVs, are at a natural disadvantage :winkwink:

I had a S550, expensive to maintain especially with the local place, and all sorts of minor crap going wrong, mostly with the seat, and the different air bladders that inflate for support.

But all in all it was a sweet ride, but a bit too big for my current tastes.

True, Jeeps were never reliable so why even include them in this list!

Thanks for the information...

Add anything Chrysler to that list and the new Fiat 500 piece of crap. Neighbour has one and he already has taken it in twice in his first month. Fix It Again Tony Part Deux

i have had a wrangler for 10 years the only problem I have had was a starter. guess the newer unlimited wrangler isn't as good. I have always been amazed that its been so much more reliable than the ratings

You got lucky. JEEP = Just empty every pocket.

I sold my 2006 wrangler X after a year and a half.
