What's Google+ good for?
 

I'm on it and so far it looks like a waste of time, a la Google Buzz.

Any ideas on what to use this thing for?? Porn biz networking maybe...?

Same as FB, except you can control sharing better.

Anyway,
G+ will be very helpful for +1's. Basically, if your pages of your site(s) have a lot of +1's, and if some of those people have you in their circles, or someone who +1'd it, and if they search for let's say some keyword you're ranking, your result will have more juice than the other one, as user who searched it have the person who +1'd it in his circles.

This obviously only works if he searches something while he's signed in.

it's just like facebook, except no one uses it yet.

too new and beta to tell. i'm on it and following a limited amount of people. interesting stuff though.

it will be lame to you if you don't have a lot of friends who are active on it.

sort of a facebook twitter combo.

P.S. To those who are already using Google+, there's no limit for inviting.

I just don't see anyone other than google fanboys (90% males) jumping on g+. It's google for god sake. the next FB killer will come from another small unknown startup and not a massive corporate. Google just copies, all there innovating has gone.

but there was always a clear difference between the two. Myspace was always music, entertainment and customize-able oriented. Facebook, has always been clean and based on just having your friends follow you. Unlike myself where people really didn't care who followed them and just accepted everyone. G+ is just a carbon copy of FB, seriously that's all Google does these days is do direct copies of other service with 1-2 tweaks. I'm still waiting for Google to push out a really unique service, its been awhile since they have. Android doesn't count cause they bought that.
