Direct NIC
How many of you guys use em?
How has your service been? Ive been with em a while and have enjoyed my stay but havent really had any challenges for them to tackle. Till now. They seem to be handling it fine so far, but im wodering if I should be concerned since this challenge hasnt been as smooth as I had wanted. Yet no worries, im sure everything will be fine. Domain Transfers are a headache everywhere Im sure. Who else uses them, and whats your experience been with them other than great prices? |
Anyone have any views on bukkake?
|
I have used them for years.
No problems ever. The security for domain theft is great. New Orleans based. :thumbsup |
I like directnic. It's nice that you can mass-edit your domains and also selectively show different whois info for each one if you want. They seem to be pretty secure as well.
Bukkake.... rocks. :thumbsup |
#1: Directnic is great. They have live support during most days and I've had no problems with them.
#2: Bukkake is romantic. |

Great support! |
Bone,
No complaints about their over all service. However I have been trying to consolidate everything under Godaddy since last year and I have to admit I have had a couple of bumps: They locked one of my domains early. Two transfer requests which were resent from Godaddy were "never received". All in all they have been ok but personally I would prefer smooth transfers since I know what the f@ck I'm doing and the process is automated. They definitely give better phone support when you are not in the process of transferring domains away...LOL |
Directnic names are locked by default. You can unlock them all or unlock them one at a time using the web interface.

If anyone has any issues or concerns with DirectNIC, do not hesitate to e-mail me. I will try to help out as much as I possibly can. ( I have nothing to do with day to day operations, but I can get in touch with people who do. )
michael AT directnic dot com We just finished migrating from our old network where we were co-located, to our OWN datacenter which we own ,control 100% and is in our building. Migrating over 100 servers is a major pain in the ass, but it was done flawlessly by our great staff. This long anticipated accomplishment is expected to bring not only more freedom and control over our network resources, but significantly less downtime, and new opportunities for our customers. It is nice seeing good feedback. :thumbsup |
We hundreds of domains with them, and have never had trouble transfering them.
Mike, How about some volume discounts? |
never used anyone else
no problems as yet :) |
Plugger we do have volume discount, but it has to have real volume. Hundred would probably do, but not dozens.
It is expensive to have 24-7 support.... |
Directnic Rocks
|
DirectNIC rocks... the only registrar I will use...
|
I have about 40 domains with them and no problems. They're very easy to deal with and I've never had any issues.
|
I moved everything with them. I hate Netsol they suck. I even paid just to move domains that weren't expired because I hate them so much. Directnic has been awesome for domains, dns etc. They moved their mail servers to a huge building now so that is better. I am just waiting for maybe a 1-800 number to contact them. Everything is easy to change and cheap. Other than that like someone else said once you go directnic you never go back.
:thumbsup :thumbsup |
