Must be nice to have those 15 minutes.....
Anyone remember Baltimore? Please -- do me a favor -- I'm having a bit of trouble -- can you help me find the Bucs on this list anywhere on this list, other than the ONE spot at the top? http://www.voyeursuperspy.com/sbr.gif P.S. Tell Mr. Ray Lewis we say hello :thumbsup |
From Reuters:
Unhappy Oakland Fans Throw Rocks at Police Apparently, not too much damage, as most of the rocks were intercepted.... |

4th grade comeback?
or flavor of the week... how much baltimore and new england merchandise is now taking up space at the back of closets all across america? did we loose, yup -- no question there -- well done Gruden (helps knowing all the plays in advance :thumbsup ) just trying to point out that there have always been flash in the pan champs (seems to be trend lately) but there will also always be legacies -- and one super bowl ring does not a legacy make. heres the point -- the thread didnt say "Go Bucs" it said "To all you Oakland fans..." spend your time as a fan (fair weather or otherwise) being proud of and celebrating YOUR team, not talking shit about somneone elses..... Enjoy your 15 minutes, you've earned it :thumbsup |

If I was a shopowner in Oakland I'd have been out front with a shotgun that night. Bunch of sucky sucks. |

Why not wait until the end of next season to crap on this year's win? Next year they will defend their title, like the sorry Patriots tried to do this year. We'll see if they're a one-hit wonder then, won't we? I suspect they'll be a tough team to beat for the next few seasons no matter how they do in the superbowl. |

Like "helps to know the plays in advance"..... WTF is that? Is this another "NFL is out to get Al Davis" |
CDSmith -
I didn't intend to try to 'crap' on the Bucs win -- just pointed out that before they talk shit -- they better be damn sure that they aren't another Baltimore, 'Best Defense Ever' team that is forgotton about in 10 months when playoffs start again..... I'm just a little unclear as to the title of the thread then -- again it wasn't "Great Job Bucs", or as you put "they worked hard all season, they kicked ass consistently, and they deserve the win" -- But it wasn't....... I agree -- they are a great team -- they were definately the better team on Sunday -- so why is it that a Raider fan and a 49ers fan are the only ones actually saying that -- and the Bucs fans are talking about Oakland? :) |
jreaka --
did you watch the game at all? happen to catch Lynch on his 'Mic'd Up' segment when he said something to the effect of 'we know everything they are going to do' "helps to know the plays in advance" - was a refrence to Gruden being the Raiders head coach last year and having knowledge of the the team and their plays..... Not saying that he shouldnt have used that advantage at all -- I'm sure the Raiders would have in a similiar situation, just pointing it out -- thats all :) |
Buzz --
Okay, I can accept that you weren't crapping. I suppose some of the hoopla where Oakland fans are concerned stems from their behavior on the streets of Oakland after the game. It's a shame that a few extremists can ruin the rep of all Raider "fands", but folks from all over (especially Tampa) all think that Raider's fans are a bunch of sore-losers. Such a shame, really. |
My Saints and I are still looking for our 15 minutes of fame.:(
|
Thank goodness I didn't bet 1500$ on Raiders like I was :-/

I thought that was fucking great !!! |
As a 49er fan for as long as I can remember remembering anything, I typically hate the Raiders (Bay area rivalry). But what bothers me more than the Raiders being in the Superbowl while my 49ers stay home is when fans materialize out of thin air for teams that all of a sudden have a hot streak.
Here in Northern California there are very few Florida transplants.... yet mysteriously Buc fans have been appearing. Maybe they were kidnapped by aliens in Florida and returned to earth at a California drop off point. If you live in Los Angeles, California and were a fan of High School football with no connections to the East Coast, would you cheer on New York High School? Of course not. So why do individuals with no connection to Florida all of a sudden cheer on a team that was a nobody with not a fan in sight just a few short years ago? And how can such a fair-weather fan hold their head high? Some people are such idiots. |
